Liam Hemsworth Is Official with a New Girlfriend Amid Miley Cyrus Split and It’s Not Maddison Brown
Breakups can be extremely traumatic, especially when a lot of time and energy was invested in the relationship. When celebrities decide to call it quits, they have to do so while the whole world watches.
There is no right way to deal with a breakup. Some people takes months to get over the relationship while others jump right back into the dating game. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had completely different approaches to healing after they announced their divorce. Cyrus decided to start serial dating, while Hemsworth stepped largely out of the spotlight. But now, it seems that Hemsworth may be getting back out there.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s breakup
Cyrus and Hemsworth had been off and on lovers since they met on the set of 2010’s The Last Song. The pair got married in December of 2018 but by August of 2019, the romance was over.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus said in a statement to People at the time. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of [the] animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Why did Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth break up?
The two were no strangers to breaking up. They had done so many times throughout the course of their relationship. But it was still hard for Hemsworth to deal with the end of his marriage.
“Liam still loves Miley and this break-up has been extremely hard for him. He took this very, very hard, some would even argue harder than she did,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Miley is not who he originally loved anymore and she can’t change, but he just realized he couldn’t be with her like this. He can’t believe what he’s seeing on the internet about her since the break-up.”
Ultimately, he felt like Cyrus had changed too much.
“He felt the woman he met and the woman he divorced were two different people at the end of the day,” the source continued. “There’s no chance of reconciliation.”
Does Liam Hemsworth have a new girlfriend?
After they split, Cyrus immediately began dating former The Hills: New Beginnings star Kaitlynn Carter. When that ended, she moved on to Australian singer Cody Simpson, who she is currently dating.
Lately, Hemsworth has been seen spending a lot of time with model Gabriella Brooks.
“Gabriella has been a breath of fresh air and she makes him very happy,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Gabriella lets him be himself and doesn’t put any pressure on him.”
Previously, he was linked to actress Maddison Brown, but after pictures of him and Brooks kissing surfaced, the Brown stories were put to rest.
“They have no label on where things stand with them at this point and although they’re both really private, they feel comfortable enough with each other to step out in public and allow themselves the freedom to have a good time.”
But Hemsworth isn’t trying to get serious anytime soon.
“Liam is still in the midst of his divorce with Miley so marriage is the furthest thing from his mind right now,” the source continued.
