Gibson Johns, host and producer of In The Know pretty much nailed the vibe of Donald Trump skipping Joe Biden‘s presidential inauguration.

“The outgoing president not going to the inauguration at the end of his term feels a bit like a Real Housewife skipping out on her final season’s reunion, honestly,” he tweeted. Lisa Rinna from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shared the tweet on her Instagram story, adding, “He does have a point.”

This isn’t the first time Trump was compared to a petulant Housewife. Carole Radziwill from The Real Housewives of New York City referred to him as an amateur cast member.

“In 2016, Trump was like a first season Housewife, people thought he was ‘a breathe of fresh air,'” she tweeted. “He was ‘real’ & he ‘tells it like it is.’ Lol. Now that he’s thrown his proverbial leg let’s hope he doesn’t get a second season.”

Andy Cohen thinks the ‘Housewives’ are out of Donald Trump’s league

Housewives franchise producer Andy Cohen takes some offense to people comparing Trump to a Housewife. “I started to get offended on behalf of the Housewives and the work that we do at Bravo on these reunions because actually, he was so much lower than the tenor that we go,” Cohen told The Washington Post, The Huffington Post reported. “What you have to remember is he is not capable of modulating himself, so that was 90 minutes straight of that.”

“[Trump] was way lower than we ever are,” he continued. “And we are certainly a mix of low and high.”

“I think the fact that the president is a reality star who behaves recklessly and impetuously, with a loose relationship to facts, makes the comparison to a Housewives reunion or a Bravo reunion apt,” Cohen added.

The presidential debates were compared to a ‘Housewives’ reunion

The first debate between Trump and Biden was widely compared to the drama and hysteria from a Housewives reunion. In fact, fans begged the network to allow Cohen to moderate next time, sharing that he would know how to handle the chaos.

“It’s noise that you cannot ever shut up. It doesn’t ever stop,” Cohen said. “It’s not like he’s presidential at one moment and then he’s childish at another. He’s only childish. If he were a Real Housewife, he would have been fired by now. There aren’t any Real Housewives that I can think of who have behaved as he has in this way, without showing any vulnerability or humanity, that have remained on the show.”

Many people suggested debate moderators have a mute button at their fingertips like the one Cohen used during some of the virtual reunions. “He is a reality star who has as much political experience as me,” Cohen said. “Or you. Or my cab driver.” He went even further naming Vicki Gunvalson from RHOC or his dog.
