Fans have been loving Lizzo since her 2019 album Cuz I Love You, including members from One Direction. People flock to the singer for her unapologetic boldness and fun attitude. Plus, her songs are catchy and have feel-good vibes. Lizzo has had a public friend in “Sweet Creature” singer Harry Styles for years now, with the two even covering each other’s songs. The “Juice” performer once called out a “fine” One Direction member — but maybe surprisingly to some, it wasn’t Styles.

Harry Styles and Lizzo have become close over the last couple of years

Styles and Lizzo were first publicly connected when he covered her song “Juice” for BBC Radio’s Live Lounge in 2019. Months later, she covered Styles’ “Adore You” from his album, Fine Line, at the same BBC venue. The duo also interacted at the 2020 BRIT Awards, where they joked together and held hands.

This year, at the 2021 Grammy Awards, Lizzo shared pictures of her and Styles at the ceremony ahead of his big win for “Watermelon Sugar.” Most recently, people speculated that Styles sent her Gucci presents for her 33rd birthday. She shared pictures of her green gift boxes on Instagram and comments flooded in about the purchaser maybe being Gucci model Styles.

But Styles wasn’t the only One Direction member Lizzo has shown some love toward. She actually was pretty forward about her appreciation for another member first.

Lizzo has also publicly interacted with One Direction’s Niall Horan

Lizzo has also made her admiration for another One Direction member known. “Heartbreak Weather” singer Niall Horan recounted a memory with Lizzo on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

In 2019, Lizzo and Horan passed each other at a London radio station. He immediately complimented Lizzo for her voice and songs and commended her on all her recent success. He gushed about the moment to Fallon.

“‘You’re absolutely smashing it,'” Horan told Lizzo. He said that “without missing a beat,” she replied: “You can smash this.”

Horan absolutely loved her quick-wittedness and bold response.

“I was just like, ‘Fair play,'” he said about Lizzo’s reply. “I actually started blushing myself.”

But even though Lizzo has been plenty vocal about appreciating both Styles and Horan, she actually shouted out a different One Direction member at a concert of hers.

“Shout out to the radio station,” Lizzo said in a video clip of the moment on Twitter. “And fine a** Louis Tomlinson.”

The crowd erupted in applause for the One Direction performer who wrote the most songs of all of the members. Lizzo continued speaking about Tomlinson after the concert-goers cheered her — and Tomlinson — on.

“He fine, am I right,” she continued. “There’s only One Direction I’m going in, you know what I’m saying? That’s to the dressing room.”

Clearly, the audience agreed. They responded in more cheers and screaming to Lizzo’s praise of Tomlinson.
