‘Love & Hip Hop’: At Least Two New Spinoffs Are Reportedly Coming to VH1 and One Is Confirmed

After production was halted due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Love & Hip Hop franchise is coming back to VH1 and there will be some new spinoffs/specials with its return. The network has given what is the first update on the show's production since Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta had to wrap the season early as the pandemic swept across the globe.

The first spinoff is a reunion series

The first Love & Hip Hop spinoff is a reunion special which will be four parts. It is titled Love & Hip Hop: Secrets Unlocked and it is the first time that the franchise will feature members from all four of the main series (Love & Hip Hop: New York, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and Love & Hip Hop: Miami) together.

Here’s the official description per the network: For the first time in franchise history, iconic Love & Hip Hop cast members from all four cities will virtually unite to reflect on never-before-seen casting footage, behind-the-scenes secrets, messy entanglements, epic breakups and a look back at the most unforgettable trips and unresolved drama from New York, to Atlanta, down to Miami and Hollywood. 

The four-part special is hosted by Kendall Kyndall and was taped virtually. VH1 says that it will “give fans an exclusive look at Mendeecees’ reunion with Yandy Smith-Harris for the very first time since being released from prison. Additionally, Ray J and Princess Love appear together to discuss their current situation and Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels open up about their relationship woes.”

The first part will air on Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. on VH1 while the others will air on dates that have yet to be determined.

The full lineup that will appear on ‘Love & Hip Hop: Secrets Unlocked’

Love & Hip Hop: Secrets Unlocked is toplined by fan-favorites Amara La Negra, Cyn Santana, Erica Mena, Jonathan Fernandez, Karlie Redd, Mendeecees, Princess Love, Ray J, Safaree Samuels, and Yandy Smith-Harris.

There will also be appearances from Bambi, Bobby Lytes, Kendra Robinson Kirk Frost, Mami Ana, Momma Dee, Rasheeda Frost, Rich Dollaz, Scrappy Shay Johnson, Sukihana ,Trick Daddy and Yung Joc.

The series is kicking off VH1 bringing back Love & Hip Hop-themed Mondays as more specials and the returning seasons of the shows will be back on the network.

The other reported spinoff

We already know more specials are coming, as well as the new seasons of the shows, but there is another reported spinoff that will revolve around the Love & Hip Hop couples. This news was first broken by Page Six.
