Love & Hip Hop‘s Princess Love has reportedly filed for divorce from Ray J, which is a culmination of several drama-filled months. Recently on social media, some fans have been having conversations about Ray J’s sister, Brandy, commenting on Love’s post about their two children.

After months of alleged separation, Princess Love has reportedly filed for divorce from Ray J

The couple has always had their ups and downs, but the drama reached new heights when Love claimed that Ray J left her and their daughter, Melody Love Norwood, stranded in Vegas after traveling there for the Soul Train Awards. During this time, Love was pregnant with their son, Epik Ray Norwood.

Love threatened to leave the marriage and was open on social media discussing the situation. Despite the fact that they appeared to be together in an Instagram video for a pregnancy photoshoot Love debunked the rumors that things were back to normal, saying the video was not what it seemed.

When their son Epik was born, things didn’t seem to change between the two. They were evidently separated since the Las Vegas incident. Love never really said things changed, though Ray J constantly spoke in the media about them working on things.

Though he said the relationship was at a “standstill,” he told In Touch Weekly in January, “We love each other and our relationship matters, definitely, but right now the kids are the only thing that matters. In relationships, you know you go through ups and downs, and so I think we just have to make sure going through the ups and going through the downs, that in this time we stick together to make sure that the kids are safe and happy and comfortable, and find the rhythm. Keep us in your prayers — God will make it work.”

In a three-episode special for the Zeus network, the couple sat down and seemed to try to work through their problems but made no progress.

On May 7, 2020, it was TMZ reported that Love officially filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The two had been married for almost four years.

Fans were left confused by Brandy’s comment on Princess Love’s Instagram post

After the divorce was made official, Love posted a photo on Instagram featuring Epik and she and Ray J’s other child, Melody.

Ray J’s sister, Brandy Norwood, commented on the post and directly mentioned Ray J, saying, “they remind me of us. love u bro.”

Now, while Love and Brandy had a strained relationship in the years before, they seemed to have gotten to a cordial place. However, many people thought that the comment left by Brandy may have shown that this may not be the case anymore.

While it could have just been a harmless comment, several people took issue with the fact that Brandy would directly mention her brother on Love’s post right after she filed for divorce.

One person tweeted, “Princess filed for divorce today. So this seems very messy of brandy.”

“Why would Brandy comment on PRINCESS pic to talk to Ray J? What a dweeb,” said someone else.

Another person added in part, “Princess has called out Brandy before, so I don’t know why she thinks this is a good move.”

No word on Ray J and Princess Love’s status on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, which was set to air on VH1 later this year, but may be postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
