Shay and Emjay Johnson on ‘Love & Hip Hop’

Shay was a first a supporting cast member on the first two seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. She is one of the original cast members of Love & Hip Hop: Miami, starring in the show’s three seasons that have aired to-date. Love & Hip Hop was not Shay’s first stint on reality television. She appeared on VH1’s Flavor of Love, as well as Charm School as Buckeey.

When she was on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, most of her storylines revolved around her relationship with rapper Lil Scrappy, as well as love triangle involving the two and Scrappy’s ex, Erica Dixon.

On Love & Hip Hop: Miami, one storyline was about her relationship with now-ex-boyfriend Pleasure P, who she was in a long-distance relationship with before. During this time on the show, she also had feuds with his Pretty Ricky bandmates and his ex-girlfriend, Gabby Davis. Johnson also had feuds with Chinese Kitty and Chinese Nicky. She and Pleasure P end up breaking up by season’s end. In the second season of the show, she dealt with a medical issue and also feuded with Jojo Zarur.

Emjay, who is one of Shay’s two brothers, began appearing on the show in its third season, as the show covered his romance with one of the series’ main stars, Amara La Negra. Emjay and Amara ended up having a messy split, and it impacted Shay and Amara’s relationship.

The upcoming episode of ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’

Shay, Emjay and their other brother, Joe, are set to appear on an upcoming, two-hour episode of the OWN reality series, Iyanla: Fix My Life. In a new promo released for the episode, it looks like the two will confront their mother about some long-running family issues.
