Rory wants to destroy her older brother in Season 6

The series’s Season 6 trailer shows Lucifer not quite ready to accept his new position in heaven. As Chloe and Lucifer take a trip to Hell, fans see someone clad in vinyl platform boots sitting on his throne. Who could it possibly be? The trailer reveals a punk teenager with blood-red wings who says the line “Want to help me destroy Lucifer Morningstar?”

The new angel in the mix is Lucifer’s youngest sibling, Rory. After Lucifer gives up his throne in Hell and decides to become God, Rory feels betrayed. She idolized her older brother’s devious ways and wants revenge. Not much is known about Rory, as it is implied that she will be the season’s leading cause of turmoil as the world loses its balance. From the trailer, fans have speculated what the rebellious angel’s powers could be.

Fans theorize Rory is a shapeshifter

The Lucifer trailer left more questions than answers. Fans realized some peculiar scenes that did not seem to fit. Chloe (Laura German) is fighting Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), and many fans speculate it’s the detective practicing her combat skills in case of an emergency. But the final scene left fans confused on whether or not it is Chloe.

In the scene, Chloe says they still have one more mystery to solve, the murder of Lucifer Morningstar. Lucifer looks taken aback and confused. The scene shifts to Chloe grabbing Azrael’s Blade and lunging at Lucifer. Fans realized that Chloe seems to have superhuman strength in the scene. On Reddit, one user comments that Chloe could be holding onto Amenadiel’s (D.B. Woodside) necklace that gives such powers.

Redditors felt that Chloe’s overall demeanor in the scene was not usual for the character. This led fans to theorize that it might not be Chloe at all but Rory. Seeing as every angel has a unique ability, Reddit users believe Rory could be a shapeshifter.
