Luke Wilson and Owen Wilson have been acting for over 2 decades

Luke and Owen both started their acting careers in the mid-’90s with Wes Anderson’s film Bottle Rocket. Owen co-wrote the director’s next two movies, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums, which he also appeared in alongside Luke. For the latter, Owen earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

Owen has been in a number of popular movies since then, including Zoolander, Wedding Crashers, and the Night at the Museum series. He is also the voice of Lightning McQueen in the Cars franchise. For his role as Gil Pender in Midnight in Paris, the actor earned Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations.

Luke has also appeared in several hit films over the years. His credits include the Legally Blonde movies, both Anchorman films, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and Zombieland: Double Tap

The actor was also featured on TV series including That ‘70s Show, Enlightened, and Roadies

Luke and Owen were born and raised in Dallas. They have an older brother, Andrew, who is also an actor.

So who has a higher net worth, Luke Wilson or Owen Wilson?

Individually, Owen and Luke have found great success in Hollywood. But according to Celebrity Net Worth, Owen has a higher net worth than his younger brother.

Owen’s net worth is an estimated $70 million, while Luke’s is $50 million, around 28 percent less. Their brother Andrew has an estimated net worth of $2 million.

The Wilson brothers currently play Marvel and DC Comic characters on TV

After appearing in dozens of movies over the years, both brothers have found homes on superhero TV series. Owen plays Agent Mobius M. Mobius in the Marvel show Loki. And Luke portrays Pat Dugan, aka S.T.R.I.P.E., in DC’s Stargirl.

With such high-profile roles, the brothers’ net worths are likely to grow in the coming years. And if Owen’s character makes his way into future Marvel Cinematic Universe films, his financial standing should grow even more dramatically.

But Luke may eventually catch up to his big brother. In multiple interviews, the actor suggested he was interested in reprising his role as lawyer Emmett Richmond in the upcoming movie Legally Blonde 3 opposite Reese Witherspoon.

The highly anticipated film, which The Office actor/writer/producer Mindy Kaling is writing, will be released nearly two decades after Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde. And if it turns out to be the box office success many believe it will be, Luke’s net worth may see a substantial rise.

Regardless of who makes more, the Wilson brothers have made a mark in Hollywood. And it’s likely audiences will continue to see them make more hit films and TV shows in the coming years.
