What Madonna has accomplished is almost impossible. She’s maintained her pop star status since her first song came out in the early 1980s.

Most stars rise and fall in a matter of years, but Madonna has kept going. Her persona and her music are still relevant, almost 40 years after she signed her first record deal.

And even though she says she’s really 160 years old, Madonna still looks good. In 2017, fans finally got the chance to look as good as she does

This is no side gig. Madonna worked hard to develop every aspect of her beauty line. Every ingredient was carefully thought out, and Madonna employed experts to help her along the way.

The MDNA skin line launched in parts of Asia first, as early as 2014. With the help of dermatologists and beauty experts, Madonna created a line that would keep her own skin in tip-top shape, then sold it to the public.

The products contain natural spring water, and clays from Italy. One of the products, a rose face spray, is something Madonna actually keeps with her at all times. The price point may be a little steep for some consumers.

The items range in price from $50 to $600. The spray, for example, sells for $120. The most expensive product in the line is the Rejuvenator set.

The line includes Madonna’s magnetic clay mask

The Chrome Clay Mask and accompanying skin rejuvenator retails for $600. The skin rejuvenator itself makes up most of the cost. The ‘rejuvenator’ is actually a magnetic wand. After rubbing the clay mask on to their face, users take the wand and hold it over the clay mask. Since the mask is a magnet, the wands pick it right up off of the skin.

Refills of the Chrome Clay Mask cost around $220, so it seems like the wand costs around $380. According to the MDNA site, the magnetic mask “help visibly renew, lift and firm the skin in minutes – no rinsing required.”

Madonna is all about anti-aging. She doesn’t necessarily agree with the fact that our society is so focused on age, but she’s accepted it.

As she put it: “I do believe we live in a very ageist society. It’s ridiculous that we have to hide our age. I’m 160.”

In fact, Madonna may be searching for the fountain of youth. She’s gone to great lengths to source the ingredients for these products. The clay mask, for example, comes from a specific region in Italy. According to the description: “Montecatini Clay is purifying yet non-drying, sourced from volcanic ash slowly steeped in Montecatini Thermal Water.”

Even though the mask is marketed as a facial product, Madonna actually uses it anywhere on her body. She does that with all her products. Despite the fact that they all have specific areas they treat, she’ll use them wherever they’re needed.

“There’s not one product that I don’t use on every part of me,” the singer said. “I rub the serum into my knees, and the eye mask goo on my elbows, the mask on my butt.”

Madonna encourages all her fans to use the mask on their butt. As she puts it: “Don’t you want soft skin on your butt? Don’t people look at your butt? Your butt has an audience.”

While Madonna may be overestimating the visibility of the average butt, it’s nice to see that she cares about making every part of her fans’ bodies beautiful.
