Is Mandy Moore Pregnant? The ‘This Is Us’ Star Shares Sweet Baby Bump Pics With Husband Taylor Goldsmith on the First Day of Filming
Sept. 24 is a big day for the This Is Us family, and it’s not just because production has officially begun. A few hours after Mandy Moore returned to the set as young — and pregnant — Rebecca Pearson, the 36-year-old actor announced her first real-life pregnancy alongside her husband, Taylor Goldsmith.

Moore and Goldsmith met thanks to the power of social media. Goldsmith is the frontman for the band Dawes. So when Moore posted a photo of the group’s album on Instagram in 2015, Goldsmith reached out.
“Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history,” Moore told People in October 2017. “Thanks, Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé.”
Then in November 2018, Moore and Goldsmith got married after over two years of dating. And two months before the couple officially tied the knot, Moore opened up about her future with her now-husband.
“He makes me melt. I can imagine no better partner,” Moore told Glamour. “He’s going to be the most tremendous father. I view the past as a stepping-stone to get me where I am today. I would gladly weather all of that a million times over if it brought me to Taylor again.”

On Sept. 24, Moore and Goldsmith took to Instagram to announce the pregnancy. The couple shared a series of black-and-white photos of the baby bump. They also revealed they are expecting a baby boy at the start of the new year.
“Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021,” Moore captioned the photos.
Meanwhile, the comment section of Moore’s pregnancy announcement was filled with joy and congratulations from fans and peers.
“Baby’s comingggggg,” Susan Kelechi Watson, who plays Beth Pearson on This Is Us, commented alongside a string of heart emojis.
Then the NBC drama’s official Instagram account wrote, “Congratulations, queen!”

A few hours before Moore and Goldsmith shared their big news on Instagram, the actor returned to the set of This Is Us to start filming season 5.
“Getting ready to go back to work. My first day,” Moore said on her Instagram Story marked at 4:33 a.m. “Really grateful. Really, really, really grateful. And excited. I’ll wake up at 4 a.m. any day.”
Then in a separate Instagram Story, Moore emerged in full Rebecca makeup. “Mama Pearson Ready to GO,” the actor wrote.
Dan Fogelman also shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Rebecca and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) for This Is Us Season 5, and it’s possible the creator was hinting at the actor’s pregnancy reveal. Moore’s character was visibly pregnant in the pic as she reached out to her onscreen partner. But ultimately, Fogelman’s post highlighted the safety protocols during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“A 2020 television sex scene,” Fogelman joked on Twitter. “We’re back. #ThisIsUs.”
This Is Us Season 5 will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
