Matt Damon is one of the most well-known actors in Hollywood. He has starred in several action-packed films and has won several awards throughout his career, including two Golden Globe Awards.

When you look at Damon, the last thing that you would probably think is that he is boring. But recently, he went on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and proved that even exciting actors can be boring sometimes, especially if they are talking about their DNA.

Keep reading to find out why DeGeneres found Damon’s very European DNA so boring.

During Damon’s interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, he had mentioned that his family is Northern European. When DeGeneres then asked him if he had ever gotten a DNA test, he replied that his brother had and then went on to tell about his heritage.

“I knew that my mother’s father was 100% Finnish. I thought my mother’s mother was 100% Swedish, but she’s Swedish and Finnish,” Damon had said. “Then my dad was-“

Before Damon could finish the rest of his story, DeGeneres had interrupted him and said: “Nevermind. This is boring…I thought, ‘What am I asking for? I don’t care.'”

Before DeGeneres had even finished her sentence, the audience and Damon had erupted in laughter.

Matt Damon’s interview on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ was also very informative

Not only did we get to learn about Damon’s “boring” ancestry, but he also gave the audience some valuable information about jellyfish. He had mentioned that his daughter had once been stung by a jellyfish.

When DeGeneres asked is someone had to pee on her in order to get it to stop hurting, Damon had replied that urinating on a jellyfish sting is just a myth that someone had made up a long time ago and does not actually work. Instead, you are supposed to soak the sting in hot water and then gently brush the skin with a cloth or sponge in order to remove the stingers that are left in the skin.

“Okay, so nobody needs to pee on anybody if you get stung,” DeGeneres said. “This is a very important show to be watching today.”

We couldn’t agree more. Not only did we get to learn that Damon has really good genes but we also found out that he is incredibly smart.

Does Matt Damon trust Ellen DeGeneres’ driving skills?

Damon’s ancestry may be boring, but his life is definitely not. Damon has a new movie coming out soon entitled Ford vs Ferrari.

In the movie, Damon plays the world-renowned car designer, Carroll Shelby. In order to help him prepare for his new role, he and co-star, Christian Bale, were invited to the Indianapolis 500. While he was there, Damon got to ride in a race car with racing legend Mario Andretti.

He said that riding in a car with the iconic race car driver while going 200 miles per hour was “indescribable.” When DeGeneres asked him if he would ever want to relive that experience, he had instantly said yes.

However, when she clarified that she would like to be the one driving next time, he had instantly said no. Because of his experience with racing, Andretti is the only person that he would trust to go that fast down the racetrack while also getting only a few inches from the wall.

DeGeneres tried to talk him into letting her drive him on the racetrack. He eventually agreed to it when she promised that she would not go faster than 130 miles per hour.

Damon has proved time and time again that he is one of the most talented actors in Hollywood. We also think that he is one of the most exciting actors as well. His life, career, and even his DNA are all very interesting.
