‘Mayans MC’ Season 4 Finale: Who Is Isaac Packer?
Mayans MC Season 4 brought back Isaac Packer, a character who was thought to be dead. Isaac spent much of season 3 manipulating Coco into stealing drugs from the Mayans. Coco eventually shot Isaac, but the season 4 finale reveals that the bullet didn’t kill him. Episode 10 also revealed that Isaac is SAMDINO president Les Packer’s brother. Isaac Packer returned in the ‘Mayans MC’ Season 4 finale
JR Bourne portrays Isaac Packer, an important character in Mayans MC Season 3. At the time, Isaac’s last name wasn’t known and he was often referred to as the King of Meth Mountain. When Coco was in a bad place, he attempted to steal drugs from Meth Mountain. This led to Isaac manipulating Coco throughout the course of the season.
In the end, Coco got the upper hand and shot Isaac in the throat. However, the Mayans MC Season 4 finale revealed that he didn’t die from his injuries. He reappears in the season 4 finale, capturing several of the Mayans and killing all but one, including Manny.
Elgin James teased Isaac could be next season’s big bad
Tig Trager makes his reappearance in the Mayans MC Season 4 finally, seemingly warning about Isaac Packer. While visiting Terry in the hospital, he states that the Son’s war “brought back that f***ing demon that we all thought was dead out in the desert.” Later Tig meets with Alvarez and tells him of Isaac’s return.
“Packer’s baby brother, he’s back,” Tig tells Alvarez. “Packer looked out for him bro. I mean he’s blinded by his own family ties you know about that. I’m not lying to you when I tell you this. That kid, he’s got it out for the Mayans. All that hate inside of him, it’s not healthy.”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mayans MC showrunner Elgin James was asked to confirm if Isaac’s last name is Packer and if he will be the big bad if the show returns for season 5. “Yes, one hundred percent. Some people picked up in season three that Isaac has the Sons of Anarchy tattoo, the reaper tattoo. So, we’ve planning this for a while to bring him back. Plus, JR Bourne is just another actor who’s so alive, so present. So yeah, you may see Isaac again. He may come ready to set some fires.”
Who is Les Packer?
Les Packer is the president of the San Bernadino charter of the Sons of Anarchy. He appears in the original Sons of Anarchy series and is shown to have a lot of respect for Jax Teller. In Mayans MC, Packer appears on several occasions. In season 2 he gives the Mayans information on the Swole Boys, who attacked a member of the Mayans.
By season 3, Packer is said to have terminal cancer and is going through chemotherapy. He appears to be nearing the end of his life. However, in the Mayans MC Season 4 finale, Tig notes, “Packer, crazy bugger. Still hanging in. Death itself can’t even kill that motherf***er.”
