What happened to Megan thee Stallion?

All of the drama started on July 12 when police responded to reports of gunfire. After arriving on the scene, they arrested Lanez on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and took Megan to the hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds. Lanez was later released on bail.

At first, Megan remained tight-lipped on the incident but after a number of conflicting stories came about, she finally revealed that it was Lanez who shot her.

“Yes…Tory shot me,” she said on Instagram Live. “You shot me and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying. You shot me! I didn’t get cut by no glass. I didn’t tell the police immediately what happened right there because I didn’t want to die.

“I tried to just be cool … stay out the way … because at the end of the day I’m really a real b*tch, I’m from Houston, I’m from the south side, it ain’t a ‘oh let me run and tell my business to the internet, let me go run and tell my business to the police. I have never been that type of person. But I’m not going to let ya’ll keep playing in my face.”

On Oct. 8, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced that Lanez was charged with assaulting a female.

“Daystar Peterson aka Tory Lanez (dob 7/27/92) was charged today in case BA490599 with one felony count each of assault with semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle,” the press release stated. “The defendant also faces a gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.”

Megan was recently granted a protective order against Lanez. He must now stay at least 100 yards away from her and also had to surrender any firearms that he owned.

Tory Lanez goes live

He went on to assure fans that he meant no disrespect to Megan.
