Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is headed back to the U.K. this week to join her husband Prince Harry so that they can carry out their final royal duties as senior working members of the British Royal Family. This comes after weeks of negotiations with the remaining senior royals after they announced Megxit in January 2020.

Though things moved very quickly when it came to negotiating the Sussexes’ exit from the British royal family, the duke and duchess didn’t exactly get everything they wanted. Instead of becoming part-time working royals as they’d hoped — the duo will step down altogether.

Additionally, despite the money and effort that they’ve put in over the past year to brand and trademark themselves as Sussex Royal — they are being forced to rebrand themselves without the “royal” aspect attached to their names. Still, amid her newfound freedom, the duchess is ready to strike out on her own. There are even whispers that she’s considering the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Meghan Markle has been extremely happy since Megxit

Though the rumors and the tabloids about her certainly haven’t stopped, being away from the U.K. and spending time on Vancouver Island in Canada has made the Duchess of Sussex happier than she’s been since marrying into the British Royal family.

“They both love to be outside and have been loving it there,” a source revealed to People. “When they’re not doing yoga or eating in, Harry will pick up sandwiches at a local spot, and Meghan walks her beloved rescue beagle Guy and the couple’s adopted Labrador. They go for long walks, they do yoga, and Meghan cooks. They are real homebodies who love to chill out with Archie and the dogs.”

Apparently, the duo is happier than they’ve ever been and they are making plans to launch their charitable entity. “These plans take a lot of time, and staff are putting in the legwork to prepare it properly and make sure it delivers on the expectations and the couple’s ambitions,” the alleged insider continued. “It’s full throttle for them right now. They have a lot happening in 2020, and it will be really exciting to see.”

Meghan Markle is currently looking for representation in Hollywood

When Megxit was first announced, sources close to the duchess were adamant that she wouldn’t be a working actress again. However, it looks like Markle might be taking a different strategy.

“[Meghan] has no plans to do another show like Suits, but Harry’s been encouraging her to do more voice-over work, writing, producing and directing in her free time,” a source tells Us Weekly.

The Sussexes are also reportedly looking to move Los Angeles for the summer.

“They have started to look at homes online and are in the process of interviewing security teams,” a source close to the Sussexes told E! News. “They are getting their ducks in a row and seeing if it’s logistically possible. They’ve reached out to people in L.A. and would like to assemble a team of locals. Meghan would like to be able to do meetings at the house and also be able to host friends and entertain. Those are two things that are important to her.”

Meghan Markle might be interested in a Marvel movie

Obviously, Hollywood is very interested in seeing the duchess on screen again — and it looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe might also be enticed.

The duchess has allegedly told her agent, Nick Collins of Hollywood’s Gersh Agency, to actively search for a role for her. “She wants her return to acting to be part of an ensemble cast in something like a superhero film,” an alleged insider told Daily Mail. “He’s actively seeking such a movie for her. He’s saying she is available and open to the best offers. Meghan is planning a series of meetings in Hollywood. She has already done the voiceover for Disney and now word is out that she’s looking for a superhero film, as a voiceover or even on screen. “She knows she can’t carry a film as an actress. People won’t be able to get past the fact she’s Meghan Markle. But she’s determined to act again and she thinks a big, ensemble film is the way to go… something that pays big but which doesn’t put her front and center.”
