Though a ton of people weren’t rooting for them to win, it looks like California agrees with Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The couple stunned the world earlier this year when they decided that royal life was no longer working for them.

The Sussexes packed their bags and moved from the U.K. to LA where they’ve recently purchased a home, sealed a major Netflix deal, and started to carve out a new career for themselves worlds away from their former titles as senior working members of the British royal family.

Prince Harry and Meghan have been appearing at various talks and events virtually. As a result we’ve gotten a peak at their new home decor, including a hint at what their house smells like.

Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Santa Barbara estate

The Sussexes have officially purchased their first home together. Their $14.7 million home is located in the Montecito community of Santa Barbara which is about 100 miles outside of LA.

The massive 19,000 square foot estate boasts nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms which means there is more than enough room for guests and entertaining. There is also a ton of outdoor space including a guest house, a tea house, a children’s cottage, a full-size tennis court, a lap-lane swimming pool, and an elaborate built-in children’s playset. Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, is reportedly living with the couple to help their raise their son, Archie. Prince Harry spoke warmly about his new life. He said via Daily Mail,

I loving it. It’s fantastic. What I need is a few mini rugby balls that I can get Archie involved with the game…I’ve got a little bit of space outside, which we’re fortunate enough to have. We’ve got a whole Rugby League world cup coming next year. I definitely plan on coming back. I would have been back already had it not been for COVID.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave fans a peak at their home decor

Though the Sussexes certainly won’t be giving fans a home tour, we’ve been able to get glimpses into their new home during their video calls and apprentices.

During the duchess’ recent call with Smart Works clothing charity, fans noticed she sat in front of a massive stone fireplace. A lamp and a black and white print were also seen in the frame. There was also a fiddle leaf fig plant standing next to the widow in the room.

Then, during Meghan’s surprise virtual appearance on the America’s Got Talent finale fans saw Meghan on her comfy cream couch along with her collection of coffee table books, candles, and some stunning flower. The duchess also gave us a hint about what her house smells like.
