The Super Sweet Way Meghan Markle Thanks Her Royal Staff

Meghan Markle has quite the media frenzy surrounding her. As the duchess prepares for the arrival of her first child, she’s had to deal with an onslaught of family drama –namely from her father Thomas Markle and half-sister, Samantha Markle. The former actress has also had to deal with constant rumors and bullying from social media trolls and the press.

When Markle first began to step into her new role in the British Royal Family she had to deal with rumors that she was difficult to deal with. Several changes in her staff –including the resignation of longtime employees have also raised concerns. Now, people close to Markle have had enough with the rumors and they’ve come forward to share how kind and thoughtful the duchess truly is.

How does Meghan Markle thank her royal staff?

Markle and Prince Harry have relentless and demanding schedules. In addition to their packed calendars –the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also preparing to move from their 2-bedroom cottage at Kensington Palace to their massive estate at Frogmore House. From moving logistics, coordinating royal tours, the Markle family PR crisis, and even their wardrobes –their royal staff must handle all of the nitty-gritty details. As a result, the duchess makes sure to always take the time to thank her royal staff.

Recently, the duchess left a gift for the guards at Kensington Palace. When asked about the gift boxes that lined her home at Nottingham Cottage — Markle explained, “They’re hand warmers. Every time it gets cold like this, I take them to the guard stations. The guards are standing at their posts, and I don’t want the guys to be cold.”

Meghan Markle has always been thoughtful

A long-time friend and former co-star of Markle’s revealed that the duchess has always gone out of her way to show her appreciation to others. She was kind not just to the cast on the set of Suits, but also to the crew. She often boosted the mood by having things like gourmet burgers delivered to set. In an interview with People, the anonymous friend revealed, “It’s the same stuff she does with her office at [Kensington Palace] now. I came by there one day, and she had ordered an incredible ice-cream and sorbet stand for the office. They were remarking how it was the ‘best day of work ever.’ It warmed my heart to see her just continuing to be her and bring her style to the U.K.”

Why has Meghan Markle been called difficult to work with?

Though Markle isn’t difficult –her work ethic has certainly taken some getting used to for many of the palace’s staff. After all, anytime there is a new change — it’s going to take some time to adjust.   Daily Mail reported, “It is said palace staff have never experienced anything remotely like Meghan’s formidable work ethic, matched only by the incessant stream of ideas about how to shape her role. Though the aides see her enthusiasm as well-meaning, her up and at ’em West Coast energy is an uncomfortable fit with the more formal ethos of some of the palace staff.”
