Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has transformed her life in a matter of months. When the former actress married Prince Harry in May 2018, they were both optimistic about what they could bring to the British royal family. Though they understood that The Firm is steeped in tradition, they hoped to add a modern flair to the institution.

Unfortunately, that would not be the case. Though the British royal family appeared to like Meghan, the British press and public never embraced her. Following years of challenges, the Sussexes decided that they would be better off as financially independent citizens outside of the British royal family.

Now, amid Megxit, and a new life in Canada, the Sussexes are free to pressure opportunities. The duchess has even been offered a role on the long-running animated sitcom, The Simpsons.

Meghan Markle felt trapped by royal life

In addition to leaving her relatively quiet life and career behind, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gave up quite a bit when she married into the royal family. Unfortunately, the tradeoff was not one she could live with.

The duchess reportedly suffered panic attacks and “felt trapped and claustrophobic” from the stress of royal life. Megxit and her life on Vancouver Island has been a saving grace.

“Meghan’s thrilled to have escaped the chaos of London. She feels like a new person,” an alleged source told US Weekly. “Meghan can go out in yoga pants and not be criticized for not following a dress code. She feels more relaxed and loves walking around fresh-faced with barely any makeup on.”

Meghan Markle could be plotting a return to Hollywood

Acting and her charity work has always been the Duchess of Sussex’s passion. She is reportedly looking to spend some time in Los Angeles this summer to take some meetings.

“Meghan remains hugely ambitious and is very open-minded to a return to acting which is what she knows, loves and does best,” an alleged insider told The Sun. “Her preference is to explore the route of a documentary in which she is able to follow up some of the causes she is interested in. This wish has been the focus of some of her most recent meetings and will likely shape the kind of work the agent Meghan goes with seeks to get for her. She is very excited about what the future holds.”

Meghan Markle was just offered a role on ‘The Simpsons’

It looks like Meghan could snag a voiceover role on The Simpsons if she wanted one. “We’ve talked about Harry and Meghan. I hear she wants to do voiceover work,” Simpsons producer Al Jean told UK magazine Radio Times. “So if they’re reading this, give us a call!”

The Duchess of Sussex has already signed a voice-over deal for Disney. After Prince Harry chatted with Disney CEO Bob Iger on during The Lion King U.K. premiere in 2019, Meghan signed a contact. However, the pay that she receives from her Disney job will go directly to the charity, Elephants Without Borders.
