Meghan McCain is saying goodbye to The View. The conservative co-host, along with her fellow panelists, is taking a month-long break. Following a summer of sizzling “Hot Topics,” the ladies have started their hiatus and fans will need to wait a couple of weeks before they come back live.

“Thank you for a really wild, intense but memorable season,” McCain tweeted. “Today is our last episode and we are on hiatus for the summer. Grateful for this platform, my co-hosts, our fearless The View team and one of the last truly uncensored spaces in all of television. See you in September.”

McCain quoted the video shared by The View with all the gaffes that the co-hosts had while broadcasting from home.

How are fans reacting to Meghan McCain leaving for the summer?

McCain fans were sad that the Republican pundit would not be on TV for the whole month of August. However, they did leave their comments expressing why she’s important on the panel and expected her to return in September.

“I am so glad that you are on The View to be able to show the difference in opinions between you ladies,” a fan replied. “There are a lot of haters out there but just ignore them. Even though I agree with a lot of what the other ladies say, I value your input as well.”

“Thank you, Meghan,” a viewer expressed. “I always love watching and getting your well-expressed perspective.”

“While I hold very different political views from you, I truly enjoy your voice on The View,” a Twitter user commented.

“Please make sure you come back,” another fan noted. “I don’t always agree with your politics but I appreciate your perspective. Always gives me food for thought. You back it with intelligence and common sense.”

“Best of luck to you Meghan on your bundle of joy when he or she arrives,” another viewer commented. “You and your co-hosts did a fantastic job this season.”

“Hopefully you will be back in September before you have your baby,” another Twitter user said. “But if you’re due before then, congratulations and have a safe, healthy, and peaceful delivery.”

Is Meghan McCain returning for Season 24?

Due to McCain’s controversial political views, she often finds herself receiving a lot of hate on social media. The political analyst recently went off on people asking for her to get fired when she goes on maternity leave.

“Buncha jacka**es on social media saying they hope I get fired from The View when I go on maternity leave because it will be a great excuse when I give birth,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “[This] is why the patriarchy is alive [and] strong and why career women continue to put off starting families so long. Such bulls**t.”

However, based on the tweet she shared before the hiatus, she is expected to return to the show.

McCain also recently explained why she didn’t talk too much about her pregnancy on the ABC talk show.

“Ben and I have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families’ privacy as much as is possible,” McCain posted on Instagram. “I believe children have a right to privacy and hope you will all understand as we navigate this as much as possible going forward without sacrificing our comfort or safety.”

The View is expected to return after Labor Day to ABC.
