Meghan McCain is trashing her time on The View following the release of her audio memoir called “Bad Republican.” The former Republican co-host made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live to talk about her memoir. When she was asked about the debacle that happened on the ABC talk show when Kamala Harris was a guest, McCain didn’t miss an opportunity to take a jab at the administration.

Meghan McCain slams Kamala Harris visiting ‘The View’

McCain left The View earlier this year and a mere months after leaving the talk show she’s opening up about her time on the show. When she visited WWHL to talk about her audio memoir, a fan wanted to know what she thought about the coronavirus (COVID-19) scare the hosts had when Kamala Harris visited.

Besides saying that she “felt bad” for Sunny Hostin, she completely went off-topic and instead took a jab at the administration.

“Sunny and I are still really good friends — I just felt really bad for her, I know how seriously she takes interviewing candidates,” she answered. “Anyone who knows how a president or vice president travels, that’s like an 80-crew deep, if not more. It’s a lot of tax-payer dollars to just blow up for no reason. It’s embarrassing and it’s a waste of taxpayer’s money.”

McCain also spilled the tea about Harris allegedly going on the show to make a big announcement that ended up getting scrapped.

Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin get false-positive results

Navarro and Hostin were forced to walk off The View set after production got positive test results for COVID-19. As it turns out, they were both false-positive results. Although no one knew at the time, production took extra precautions to not expose Harris to possible a health risk. After the viral moment, Navarro went on CNN to talk about what happened after she got off the set.

“We’re sent to backstage, the vice president was in a separate room [and] we had had no contact with her for the entire day,” Navarro told Anderson Cooper on CNN. “They’re trying to figure out what is the safe way to conduct this interview and how do we do this? And I’ve got to say, her team rolled with it. It was crazy. She ended up doing the interview from that room via remote while we were locked up in our dressing rooms, waiting for the test results that we took.”

Navarro would continue to get tested and she would later reveal all of them had been negative test results.

Fans react to Meghan McCain’s take on ‘WWHL’

When WWHL shared McCain’s video about her reaction to the drama on The View, it wasn’t long before fans came in to give their own take on her opinion.

“Nice that she cares about tax payer dollars now… and doesn’t want to call out kids who benefit form nepotism,” a YouTube user replied.

“I’ve never understood the argument about wasting taxpayer dollars on flights. They didn’t go hire people the day before the VP flew. Those people, all of them were already hired for that job. They were paid regardless of where they were at. Traveling with Kamala or sitting in DC,” another viewer commented.

The View continues to air on weekdays at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. ET/PT on ABC.
