Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Says He and Pauly DelVecchio Have This Problem
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Pauly DelVecchio might not seem like they have a lot in common outside of being reality stars. But during an episode of Sorrentino’s podcast Here’s the Sitch, he revealed something he and his Jersey Shore: Family Vacation co-star share. Ironically, their “problem” is an all-too-common one that many Jersey Shore fans might be able to relate to.

During the “Pandemic Fatigue” episode of the Here’s the Sitch podcast, Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren, discussed how challenging it is to shop for the holidays this year. Lauren especially has had trouble shopping for her husband, who she says is hard to buy for.
“I like velour tracksuits,” Mike said during the episode. “I’m a big fan of old-school Sopranos, and I love to be comfortable.”
“I got as many as I could for you,” Lauren laughed. Those weren’t the only gift ideas Mike had for his wife.
“I would also have to say workout gear,” he added. “Some Under Armour Rock collection and I’ll be good because I go to the gym every day.”

Before she joined her husband in the world of reality television, Lauren studied fashion merchandising at LIM College in New York City.
“I was able to intern at some incredible places in their buying and business departments,” she told Showbiz Cheat Sheet in August 2020. From Chanel’s corporate offices to Bergdorf Goodman, Elle.com, and Salvatore Ferragamo, Sorrentino’s love of fashion translated to her professional aspirations.
Given her background, fans should have a good idea of how many clothes Lauren has amassed over the years. Still, she says her Jersey Shore husband has her beat.
“With that being said, my husband still has more than me in that category,” she said on the podcast. “In the clothing category, he has more. That’s why when he says he wants clothes for Christmas, it drives us all nuts. He has clothes in all of the closets in our house.”
‘The Situation’ doesn’t want to get rid of clothes he wore on ‘Jersey Shore’
With a baby on the way, Lauren is looking to make space for their little one. She wants to throw a lot of Mike’s old clothes away, but he’s struggling with their sentimental value.
“I wore that in Jersey Shore Season 2,” Mike said of one of the things Lauren wants to get rid of. “It’s like a memento. Maybe I’m going to frame that. Maybe I’m going to hold on to it.”
Lauren conceded that those mementos are fine to keep, but they’re going to be stored in a box in the basement.

“Pauly D’s got the same problem,” Mike said. Apparently DelVecchio is also sentimental when it comes to looks he wore during Jersey Shore‘s original run on MTV.
“I know,” Lauren said. “We’re going to have to solve it.”
