What seasons was Miley Cyrus on ‘The Voice’?

After years of releasing studio albums and performing concert tours as both herself and her Disney alter-ego, Cyrus took her talents to The Voice. She appeared on seasons 10, 11, and 13, which were filmed in 2016 and 2017.

Cyrus’ latest appearance on The Voice came amidst the release of her album, Younger Now, which featured the single “Malibu.” While coaching other artists, fans also got to hear Cyrus’ singing voice raw and live as they tuned into the show week by week.

What was Cyrus like as a coach on The Voice?

She used her experience to help contestants on ‘The Voice’

The singer went on The Voice to help other artists at the earlier stages of their careers. She initially joined season 10 as a guest adviser, before joining the next season officially as a coach.

In season 13, Cyrus grew close to one of her mentees, Janice Freeman. Cyrus mentored the singer throughout the competition, but Freeman was eliminated during the live shows in week two.

The former Hannah Montana star continued to offer Freeman support, even when the cameras had turned off. Freeman tragically died in 2019, and Cyrus tearfully attended the memorial service for her friend. She spoke about her strong bond with her former mentee from The Voice in a video captured from the service, per ET Canada.

“I just want to clear up a rumor,” Cyrus said through her tears. “I was never her coach. Ever. She was always mine. I learned more from her than anyone that I’ve ever gotten the honor to be in the room with. Not just vocally. I should’ve gotten more lessons than I did. She taught me everything that I know about love.”

Cyrus’ connection with those she coached on The Voice clearly extended beyond the confines of the show itself. Did she ever win the show alongside someone from her team?
