Cohen said Eklund gave him a gorgeous teak bathtub as a gift for making a client referral. When Eklund said he wanted to take a bath at Cohen’s Gold said, “Is that the client that he stole from me?” during the WWHL After Show.

“Uh no,” Cohen replied. “It was someone I referred to him. A very high profile client.”

“Yeah,” Gold said. “The one that I was working.” Cohen seemed confused and asked if that was true. “I think so,” Gold said.

Eklund wondered if the client was “J-Lo” (Jennifer Lopez). That’s when it appeared that Gold and Cohen may have spilled who was the client. “Different initials,” Gold said. “Three of them. Like J-Lo.”

Was Steve Gold’s high profile client Sarah Jessica Parker?

Once Gold confirmed the high-profile client had three initials, Cohen seemed to know who it was. “Ah OK,” Cohen said. “Oh … S, J …” Cohen and Parker are close friends and she is sometimes referred to as SJP.

“You were working on her?” Eklund asked Gold. “You weren’t even born then.” Gold shrugged, adding he had worked with the client for “quite some time.” Eklund still seemed stunned. “You never brought it up to me! But you did on live TV, so OK.”

Fredrik Eklund sold Sarah Jessica Parker’s $20 million townhouse in 2015

Cohen and the Million Dollar Listing New York brokers didn’t dive into the actual sale, but Eklund sold Parker’s townhouse for $19.95 million in 2015. Eklund posted about the sale on Instagram along with a newspaper clipping. “Another happy client. This one is someone I truly love, and I don’t say that lightly,” he captioned the photo.

“When Sarah Jessica Parker called my cellphone to sell her townhouse, I immediately called my brother and screamed in the phone because he, my mother and I watched every single episode of Sex and the City,” Eklund told Vogue. It’s one of the reasons I moved to New York.”

He then shared how he drives business to his listings, which worked well for Parker. “For me, it’s really important to build a story about anything I sell,” he said. “It needs to be authentic and not gimmicky. For example, everyone loves history so I research each listing to find historical facts and implement that into my showings. I always say ‘lots of theatrics – no drama’. People like to be entertained and people like to laugh, however people like to see themselves living there.”
