RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Jorgeous is watching UK vs. the World, even if she confused one of the contestants on this spinoff with All-Stars 4 winner, Monét X Change.

During an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Monét X Change confirmed “it’s all cool” between her and the season 14 drag performer.

Jorgeous accidentally gave Monét X Change a shoutout while discussing ‘UK vs. the World’

As one of the newest “Ru Girls,” Jorgeous appears on season 14 of the reality competition series, RuPaul’s Drag Race. She appears alongside constants Willow Pill, Bosco, Daya Betty, and others — each competing for the crown, the cash prize, and the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”

Meanwhile, new episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World debuted on WOW Presents Plus. There, international contestants sashayed back into the Werk Room for another chance at winning the competition. Some fan-favorites from America’s Drag Race appeared on this spinoff. That includes the “heart” of season 10, Monique Heart (Mo Heart).

When asked about her favorite contestants from UK vs. the World, Jorgeous mentioned Monét X Change, with fans assuming she actually meant Monique Heart. Within a matter of days, the video of this incident earned thousands of views, with Drag Race fans responding on social media.

“Tayce just posted a rant about Black queens constantly getting mistaken as each other,” one Reddit user noted, while another wrote, “I’ll give her benefit of the doubt and say she misspoke because [their] names are similar.”

Jorgeous later posted a Twitter message, captioning it, “I respect both of these queens.”

“When kiki-ing with the girls, we discussed many Ru girls we idolized,” the message read. “When asked which queen I was rooting for on UK vs. The World, my st*ned a** said the name of another fab queen not even on this season. I… mixed up their names. I’m sorry if anyone thought I was confusing the two or comparing them because I could never!”

Monét X Change also took to Twitter, reposting the Jorgeous video and jokingly captioning it, “Blue Sponge…Stunning.” The drag performer also responded to the incident during an exclusive interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, confirming there are no hard feelings between her and Jorgeous.

“I think it was an honest mistake,” Monét X Change said. “I even retweeted it. My name is Monique. Her name is Monét, I mean — see? Even I’m doing it!”

“My name is Monét; hers is Monique,” she clarified. “It’s easy to mess them up, and we were both in the same season. I mean, there are other problems with people misnaming people, but Jorgeous was not doing it in a malicious way or in a flippant way. It was an honest mistake, and it’s all cool.”
