It’s hard to believe that Moon Knight is already approaching its finale, but episode 6 will bring Marc Spector’s (Oscar Isaac) origin story to a close. After a heart-wrenching journey in episode 5, the Marvel show’s lead has plenty of work to do if he hopes to stop Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) from unleashing Ammit. So, when can fans expect the final episode of Moon Knight on Disney+?

[Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers for Moon Knight Episode 5, “Asylum.”]

Moon Knight Episode 5 proved one of the Marvel series’ most surprising chapters yet, revealing that Marc Spector and Steven Grant are in their version of the afterlife. That’s why Marc finds himself in a psychiatric hospital after being shot by Harrow. And the goddess Taweret (Antonia Salib) shows up to transport Marc and Steven to the Field of Reeds. However, before they move “on,” they need to balance their scales.

This entails going back through their childhood trauma, and their journey into the past shows us how Marc developed dissociative identity disorder (DID). By the end of “Asylum,” he’s forced to let go of Steven to move beyond the sands of Duat. His scales finally balance after Steven falls off the ship transporting them to the Field of Reeds.

Sadly, this likely spells the end for Steven Grant. It’s a devastating development heading into the Moon Knight finale, but it doesn’t change what Marc must accomplish in episode 6. Now that he can officially enter the Egyptian afterlife, he needs to persuade the god Osiris to bring him back to life again. After that, he’ll also need to free Khonshu (F. Murray Abraham) and use their combined powers to stop Harrow.

Basically, the final chapter of Moon Knight will feature no shortage of excitement. Fortunately, fans don’t have a long wait until it arrives.

When does the ‘Moon Knight’ finale come out? Episode 6 release date and time

With so much left for Marc to do in Moon Knight Episode 6, fans are no doubt eager to get their hands on the finale. When will it be available to stream on Disney+?

New episodes of Moon Knight stream every Wednesday, typically arriving on the platform around 12 a.m. PST or 3 a.m. EST. The premiere dropped at the end of March, and the finale will bring fans into May. Per CNET, here’s the full release schedule for the Disney+ series:

  • Episode 1: March 30
  • Episode 2: April 6
  • Episode 3: April 13
  • Episode 4: April 20
  • Episode 5: April 27
  • Episode 6: May 4

Since Marc needs to free Khonshu, confront Arthur Harrow, and (hopefully) reunite with Layla, the finale has a lot of heavy lifting to do. Fans have a general idea of what they can expect. However, there might be a few surprises in store.

Although fans can guess where Moon Knight might go during its finale, Marvel hasn’t released a preview or synopsis for episode 6. With that in mind, we’ll have to wait to see how the big conclusion pans out.

Although there are certain things that need to happen to give the Disney+ show a satisfying ending, director Mohamed Diab told Entertainment Weekly fans can also expect some “surprises.”

“I hope it’s a satisfying wrap-up to our story,” Diab said of the finale. “I feel it is. There are some surprises. I think the audience deserves a big action sequence, but it’s more than that. It has some twists and turns, and I really feel like it’s a satisfying ending to our journey.”

The end of the series may also reveal how Moon Knight will tie into the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. Marc Spector’s story hasn’t connected to the rest of the MCU just yet. It’ll be interesting to see if the final installment changes that. It seems inevitable the new hero will cross paths with some of the already-established characters eventually. Perhaps episode 6 will shed light on how that happens.
