My 600-lb Life Season 3 Episode 10 is titled “Marla’s Story.” It focused on Marla McCants, a woman whose weight was unknown but estimated to be around 800 lbs. McCants’ weight made it so that she could not stand up, and she relied on her children to help her with most tasks.

She was even able to stand up with the help of EMTs and Dr. Now’s support. Viewers may be wondering what McCants has been up to in the years since her episode aired.

Where is Marla McCants now?

In 2019, McCants appeared for an interview on Sister Circle TV, where it was revealed that she had lost a grand total of 560 lbs in two years. McCants shared that she attributed her weight gain to several traumatic events that she experienced. She revealed that she was molested by her father and kidnapped by her high school sweetheart.

McCants stated, “I stayed indoors. I didn’t want to endanger anyone — I didn’t want to endanger my children. I just stayed in and food was my comfort.” According to the Daily Mail, McCants was held at gunpoint during the incident with her then-boyfriend. He even shot two officers before she managed to escape.
