My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission hits U.S. theaters on Oct. 29, and the movie promises to build on the anime’s fifth season. It sees Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki working together — just like during the Endeavor Agency Arc — and it also tackles society’s mistrust in heroes ahead of My Hero Academia‘s sixth season. The film offers plenty in the way of action and suspense, building on the anime’s themes without technically being canon. Should fans expect a post-credits scene?

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is the third feature film based on the popular anime, and its plot is intriguing enough to pique fans’ interest. Per Crunchyroll, the new My Hero Academia movie sees Deku and his friends going undercover to stop a dangerous villain. And it appears that villain has somehow framed Deku for murder:

“When a sinister organization threatens to wipe out all superhuman powers, the fate of the world is on the line. With two hours until the collapse of civilization, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki manage to work as a team, but there’s still one problem. Deku’s on the run for murder.”

Judging by the trailer, Class 1-A’s core trio will have help going head to head with this villain and his followers. The footage shows a number of Pro Heroes joining the fight, as well as some of Deku’s other classmates. The stakes are high, and although the film isn’t canon, it touches on themes covered in the anime and manga. With that in mind, will the movie have a post-credits scene related to My Hero Academia‘s main story?

Does ‘My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission’ have a post-credits scene?

While My Hero Academia certainly draws from American comics, its newest movie isn’t taking a leaf out of Marvel’s book. There’s no post-credits scene at the end of My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, so fans don’t need to wait around once the film is through.

That’s in line with the previous two My Hero Academia films, neither of which featured anything after the credits. Of course, the anime sometimes offers an additional scene or preview, so it’s not totally out of left field to wonder about additional sequences.

With the movie not officially connecting to the anime, there probably wasn’t much to tease. If the series gets a fourth feature film, it likely won’t be announced for quite some time.

The new My Hero Academia movie is currently playing in theaters. As of this writing, it remains exclusively a theatrical release. It’s likely the film will come to platforms like Crunchyroll and Funimation once its theatrical run is through.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising are both available on Funimation, and all seasons of the anime can be found on both streaming services. If it follows the previous two films, World Heroes’ Mission will also receive a Blu-ray and DVD release sometime after it leaves theaters.
