NCIS is all over the news right now and it’s not for anything good. In the past week, new details of the alleged feud between executive producer and star Mark Harmon and former cast member Pauley Perrette have fans confused and unsure what to believe.

It all began when Pauley Perrette, who played the beloved character Abby Sciuto on NCIS, took to Twitter and made some shocking allegations against Mark Harmon. The tweets were vague on details but assured fans that she was “terrified” of Harmon and even had “nightmares” about a mysterious incident that happened on set.

This event was so serious that it may have even forced Perrette to leave one of the top-rated shows on television and refuse to film with Mark Harmon ever again.

Was the whole incident about a dog bite?

Initial investigations revealed that Perrette was referring to a time when Mark Harmon brought his dog on set and the animal bit an unidentified cast member and left them with an injury that required 15 stitches. Due to Harmon’s status on the show, most of his co-workers were too intimidated to confront him about leaving the dog at home, even though he made everyone uncomfortable. But now it sounds like the drama runs deeper than that.

Pauley Perrette did share photos of the staffer’s injury, which was significant. However, her issues with Harmon go far deeper than just an aversion to his dog.

Perrette alleges that Mark Harmon physically assaulted her

As TMZ reported, sources claim that Mark Harmon body checked Pauley Perrette after she filed complaints against him to upper management. So far, Harmon and his rep haven’t responded to these claims.

In a statement, CBS said: “Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on N.C.I.S. and we are all going to miss her. Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

Perrette refused to work with Mark Harmon ever again

After the drama, Pauley Perrette insisted she wouldn’t work with Mark Harmon anymore. Though one source claims she had already planned to leave the show, the incidents might have expedited that decision. And it changed the way everything was filmed.

“She did her scenes on one day and he did his work on other days, and they still produced a great show,” a source explained. “It was simply scheduled that they did not work the same days.”

Fans have reacted with shock and sadness over the allegations that Mark Harmon may have physically assaulted Pauley Perrette. But there are a few people who have their doubts about the story.

As one fan tweeted, “This is one of the reasons I have lost respect for Pauley Perrette. Her constant need for drama and trying to ruin others. This isn’t the first time Pauley has lied about a co-star. In fact during PM with a fan she lied about Cote de Pablo and her leaving the show.”

Others accused Perrette of just trying to get attention for her new shows and steal some of her NCIS audience for new projects.

It’s unclear exactly what happened, but one thing is for sure: we haven’t heard the end of this story.
