‘NCIS: Los Angeles’: Uh-oh. Is Another NCIS Agent Going to Be Killed?
This week on “NCIS: Los Angeles,” there will be a lot of action. Unfortunately, one of the team members will be kidnapped during a secret mission led by Hetty (Linda Hunt). The title of this episode suggests someone on the team might be killed. Here’s everything Showbiz Cheat Sheet knows about the upcoming “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode.
A team member is kidnapped

Things get serious when an NCIS member is snatched. In season 11, episode nine, titled “Kill Beale Vol. 1,” you guessed it—Eric Beale(Barrett Foa) is kidnapped. We hope the title isn’t literal and that Eric is killed. That would be a real downer. We kind of like Eric.
Considering Special Agent Christopher Lasalle (Lucas Black) was killed off during “NCIS: New Orleans” season 6, episode 6, (titled “Matthew 5:9”) anything could happen. Foa took time away from the series earlier in the season, so we’re wondering if this might be a way for him to exit the show and pursue other opportunities.
Foa says viewers will see a totally different side of Eric

If you’re used to seeing Eric as a nerdy tech guy, prepare to be amazed. Foa says Beale will present a side of himself that no one has seen before. “This is such a funny, crazy, action-packed, out-of-the box peek into an Eric Beale episode,” Foa tells Parade. “We’re in San Francisco for half the time. “I’m running away from bad guys; I’m getting shot. It’s so insane. I’m getting drugged. It’s all over the place. It’s the show like you’ve never seen it before and, certainly, Eric Beale like you’ve never seen before.”
One thing is for sure. This episode won’t be boring. Foa assures fans that although Eric reveals a new side of himself, that doesn’t mean he will be completely changed. “But what’s so great is that Eric is still Eric. So, as ready as he can be, he’s still kind of gullible, he’s still a softie, but then we also see that he can really step up to the plate, really surprise us, and outmaneuver some really tricky situations. I think everyone’s going to be surprised to see what Eric can do. I know I was,” he told “Parade.”
Why did Barrett Foa take a leave of absence from ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’?

According to TVLine, CBS allowed Foa to take a leave of absence so he could star in a production of “Angels in America” at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. But is this leave of absence really temporary, or is Foa planning to take a different direction with his career?
Did Barrett Foa drop a hint about his future on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’?
Foa spoke about the impact being away from something familiar can have on you. He said being away from your “bubble” can cause you to re-evaluate everything. Foa told “Parade” this was true for both him and his character. Furthermore, Foa says what happens to him will cause “ripples throughout the rest of the season.” What could this mean? Here’s what Foa told “Parade”:
When you get new shifts in perspective, it really opens up your mind to other possibilities and, I think, Eric is questioning some major life choices. I feel like I might be talking about myself here, too. Whenever you travel, whenever you get away from your bubble, it throws everything into question, and anyone can relate to that.
