This week, on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12, Episode 3 (titled “Angry Karen”), Nell sends Sam to meet an informant. Unfortunately, the informant tries to run Sam down with his car. Both Nell (Renée Felice Smith) and Sam are surprised. They have no idea why the informant pulled this move.

Sam, who is understandably angry, tells Nell to call 911. “He’s going to need an ambulance—or a coroner—if he tries anything else stupid,” says Sam.

Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is also going through a tough time. He’s facing a challenge on the job that he doesn’t quite know how to process. After Kensi asks about a letter Deeks received, he tells her the LAPD is undergoing a public safety review so they can avoid being defunded. As a result, all partnerships have been suspended, including liaisons. “I’m being recalled, like a Ford Pinto,” says Deeks.

Kensi tries to comfort Deeks by reminding his situation is temporary, so he doesn’t have to worry.  She also tells him that Hetty can pull some strings. “There’s nothing she can’t fix with a phone call,” says Kensi.

Olsen says he still can’t believe the show made it to season 12. He says he’s grateful to be on such a great show that still draws a lot of viewers.

“It’s very seldom that a script ends up being shot and made into a pilot,” says Olsen during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada. “One of the big things about this cast and this crew is that we really do know how lucky we are. We’ve all had highs and lows in our careers, and we know that this is lighting in a bottle.”

Another topic of discussion was about Kensi and Deeks’ family plans. Will Kensi be pregnant during season 12? Unfortunately, Ruah doesn’t think a pregnancy is in the cards for Kensi. She says Kensi and Deeks will be dealing with some issues this season, so it doesn’t seem like it would be the right time for a baby. She says the show’s producers want to delay things a bit and keep viewers “on their toes.”
