NeNe Leakes is done with The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality star recently announced that she was not returning to the franchise. She also threw some shade at producer Andy Cohen. But now, Leakes is singing a different tune, and apparently hoping to work with Bravo in the future.

NeNe quits ‘RHOA’

Leakes had been reportedly dragging her feet when it came to resigning her contract for RHOA. While the show had already begun filming, she was still in negotiations regarding the contract.

But on Sep. 17, she announced that she was done with RHOA.

“I have made the very hard and difficult decision to not be a part of Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 13,” she said in a YouTube video. “It wasn’t an easy decision for me. It was hard.

“You could’ve never told me that I would star on this little show and it’d still be going strong 13 years later,” she continued. “I’m just so happy that I can say that I was a part of a genre that opened up doors for Black ensemble reality shows to step up and be a part of what we all now love so much, reality TV.”

Things get messy with Andy Cohen

It’s no secret that talkshow host Wendy Williams and NeNe Leakes are no longer on good terms. So, when Williams appeared on Cohen’s show Watch What Happens Live, things were bound to get a little messy.

While on the show, Williams alleged that Leakes was not done with RHOA for good and that she just liked the attention. She also said that she didn’t think Leakes should get a spinoff.

“What are they going to do? Is it going to be like Greg and Nene, you’re going to give them another reality show? That’s boring,” Williams said. “How about Nene being a grandmother? That’s boring! Nene and her own kids? That’s boring! Nene trying to figure out Hollywood? That’s boring!”

Leakes immediately took to Twitter to defend herself and seemingly shade both Williams and Cohen.

“Both are f, their ratings are LOW! Bye QUEENS,” she tweeted

“She on cocaine so they should stop using her to talk,” Leakes continued in a follow up tweet. “They both need my help with their poor ratings.”

Before she finished her tirade, she even alleged that Cohen was racist.

“The racist is the master manipulator!” she wrote. “They using me for ratings like they have always done.”

NeNe wants to work with Bravo again

After her Twitter rant, it appeared that Leakes was done with Bravo and Cohen for good, but now that doesn’t seem to be the case. While Leakes is not returning to RHOA, there may be a future for her with Bravo.

“I am not going to return to Housewives, that’s not what this is about,” she said in an interview with Extra. “If I wanted to return to Housewives, I could have. I had an offer.”

Leakes is open to working with Bravo and working on her relationship with the network.

“I am very hopeful that we can work out our relationship out behind-the-scenes without everyone being involved,” she said.

But despite wanting to work with Bravo in the future, Leakes didn’t retract her statements about Cohen being racist.

“This is a conversation that he and I and people involved are going to have to deal with behind scenes,” she said. “All I can do is take you back to one of my old sayings, ‘I said what I said.'”
