New Fortnite Skins: Venom Unleashes the Alien Symbiote in Game

New ‘Fortnite’ skins celebrating the upcoming release of Sony’s ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ release, based on the Tom Hardy Eddie Brock and Venom from the movie. The new outfit joins Carnage and 2020’s comic-inspired Venom costume. While obtaining them can be random, any advantages can help nab the costumes.

The Eddie Brock and Venom Symbiote could not avoid Fortnite forever. The new Fortnite skins owe their appearance to Tom Hardy and Venom in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Joining Carnage and 2020’s comic-inspired Venom in the game, the symbiote collection grows more and more with each character pack.

How to find the new ‘Fortnite’ skins for Eddie and Venom

Initially, the costume starts as Eddie but using the Venom Unleashed emote, the symbiote slithers and crawls over the player, transforming them into the monstrous Venom.

Before they can get to alien transformations, though, players must find the Venom (and Carnage) skins.

The “symbiotes randomly spawn at various places on the island. Only two seem to spawn per match, and once they are picked up by a player, they’re gone. At that point, the only way to get your hands on one is to take out whoever is currently using it,” IGN reported.

Some important notes for players hunting the new Fortnite skins, they do not spawn at the beginning. Once the first storm circle reveals itself, the Venom and Carnage skins appear. The map displays symbiote/spider-like symbols to mark their location.

However, with several players racing for the Symbiotes, any advantage helps.

“While Venom and Carnage can spawn seemingly anywhere on the map, the two locations they appear in most frequently are the fields just southeast of Boney Burbs and northwest of Corny Crops,” IGN said.

The new ‘Fortnite’ skins come with some advantages

Just ask Spider-Man; both Venom and Carnage come equipped with various powers and weapons to terrorize.

And the new Fortnite skins take advantage of these abilities.

Both symbiotes are wearable Mythic weapons in your inventory. “[They allow] you to glide through the air and jump higher than normal. Activating the weapon sends out a tendril that attacks and pulls enemies, dealing 60 damage in the process. A seven-second cool down prevents constant use,” IGN goes on.

Venom and Carnage share similar aspects in the comics. As such, the new skins also share some abilities.

Certain parts are unique to the Venom Bundle

While the new Fortnite skins are similar, the Venom Bundle comes with its specialties.

The Venom costume, in particular, includes the Symbiote Scythe Picaxe. The Venom Bundle comes with the other Venom Outfit, the Different Tasty Snack Emoticon, the Tendrils of Venom Back Bling, the Symbiotic Sail Glider, and the Symbiote Trail Contrail.

If players already have any of the above, the Venom Bundle costs fewer V-Bucks than usual.

The alien additions celebrate the upcoming release of Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage. In the movie, Tom Hardy plays Eddie Brock/Venom, an anti-hero with a nasty habit for stopping crime — and then eating it.

2018’s Venom introduced the duo as well as Michelle Williams’ Anne Weying. However, it also teased Woody Harrelson as Cletus in a post-credits scene.

The Carnage Symbiote spawned from Venom, bonding with serial killer Cletus Kasady. The responsibility then falls to Eddie and Venom to stop the new villain’s rampage.

The Venom sequel releases on Oct. 1, 2021.
