Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra seemed like an unlikely couple to fans when they first announced that they were dating each other. However, the couple quickly got married and now seems to still be going as strong as ever.
Many people are aware that marriages take work, especially in Hollywood, where relationships do not ever seem to last very long. It seems that Jonas and Chopra know that they, too, need to put in effort in order to have a lasting marriage.
In fact, they actually have a rule that they strictly follow in order to keep their relationship as strong as possible.

Jonas and Chopra became acquainted with each other after exchanging messages on Twitter in 2016. It seems like an unconventional start, though many relationships nowadays begin online, and it looks like celebrities are no exception.
The pair met for the first time in 2017, but they did not officially start dating until the spring of 2018. At that point, they also went public with their relationship.
Jonas and Chopra got married just months after their first date. They tied the knot in December 2018 in an elaborate ceremony in Chopra’s home country of India. The couple also had a smaller celebration in North Carolina.

Jonas is a musician as part of the world-famous band, Jonas Brothers. Meanwhile, Chopra is an internationally renowned actress. Both of them are clearly busy stars whose jobs often take them all over the world. As such, it takes a lot of effort on their part to try and stick to their distance rule.
For Jonas and Chopra, a successful marriage involves spending a lot of time together. Chopra reveals that this is the basis for their important marriage rule.
“We don’t go more than two/three weeks without seeing each other,” she told Tatler in a recent interview. “That’s a rule. It’s too hard otherwise, and you’ve got to work on the relationship to prioritize it.”
Jonas has previously echoed a similar sentiment. When Chopra was busy filming a movie in India in late 2019, Jonas shared: “She’s done soon with this movie and then she’ll be back for a while… It’s been almost four and half months on the road, and it’s been, you know, interesting. But we have an incredibly beautiful balance in our lives and kind of an understanding of our priorities. That’s the most important thing.”

Jonas and Chopra have actually been spending a lot of time together due to the coronavirus pandemic. Like many people around the world, the pair are practicing social distancing by staying at home and physically isolating themselves from other people.
A few weeks ago, Chopra took to Instagram Live to share with fans: “We have always had such crazy schedules and had so many people around us all day and all of a sudden, this being our reality, it just feels crazy. I am sure all of you feel the same way. We are taking all recommended precautions right now, we are safe, we are healthy, we are practicing social distancing.”
Meanwhile, a source also reportedly told Hollywood Life that Jonas and Chopra are “still in the honeymoon phase when everyone sees them together,” and the two of them are using this time to bond with one another. For Jonas, taking a little break from his band has been much needed, and, according to the insider, the time apart is making them “excited to get back on stage when the time is right.”
