Along with his older brothers named Joe and Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas is one of the performers in the Jonas Brothers. Together, they released songs like “Sucker” and “Only Human,” earning awards and nominations along the way.

This boy band rose to stardom thanks to a partnership with Disney. There, they released songs like “Burnin’ Up” and “Year 3000,” in addition to starring in shows like Hannah Montana and movies like Camp Rock.

What set the Jonas Brothers apart from other groups was their proficiency in several instruments. That’s especially true for Nick Jonas, who played several musical instruments, including the drums. 

Nick Jonas branched out to perform music as a solo artist

After appearing with Joe and Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas branched out to release music as a solo artist. That includes the 2014 release, “Jealous” and the 2016 single, “Close.” In 2019, the boy band reunited and released their single “Sucker.”

As a member of the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas performed at award ceremonies, including the 2020 Grammy Awards. There, he played the guitar along with his brothers. However, this artist is also a proficient drummer. 

The musician showcased his drumming skills with the series Jonas, as well as the Disney Channel original movie, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. His character for this film acted as a drum instructor, as well as a general camp counselor.

In addition to the drums, according to J-14, Nick Jonas can play instruments like piano, keyboards, guitar, and bass guitar. However, he’s not the only member of this boy band who mastered an instrument. 

The same website states that all of the Jonas Brothers can play the guitar, with Joe even learning the keyboard and showcasing some tambourine skills. (Kevin Jonas even makes a joke in Camp Rock 2 about lead singers knowing how to play the tambourine.)

“We’re definitely more of a rock band compared to a pop band,” Joe Jonas said during the same interview. “We play our own instruments and write our own songs and go up on stage and play with our hearts.” 

“When people come to our concerts, I can definitely promise them that they’ll have a good time because the energy in the room is so much fun and the audience screams its heart out,” he continued. “It’s a fun time!”
