Chigvintsev has been dancing since his youth
According to Chigvintsev’s website bio, his penchant for dance came from his mother. As a young child growing up in Russia, he took classes and competed locally, but eventually left the country to study the art in places such as Germany and England.
After coming to the U.S. in 2004, Chigvintsev landed a few acting and dancing roles, including one on The O.C. and multiple gigs on Broadway. and he spent a few years touring with a dance company.
He traveled as a professional dancer and choreographer, working on the dance competition series So You Think You Can Dance and Strictly Come Dancing early in his career.
Chigvintsev was also married to one of his dance partners, Giselle Peacock, from 2004 to 2005.
Artem Chigvintsev is most famous for ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Before becoming one of the famed pros on DWTS, Chigvintsev had a good run on the Strictly, which is the U.K. version of Dancing with the Stars. He was on there from 2010-2014 before joining the team at DWTS. But he was grateful for his time on the London-based show.
During a 2019 interview with Hello!, Chigvintsev said, “The show gave me so many opportunities. I’m very grateful. But if I hadn’t left, I wouldn’t have met my beautiful girlfriend.”
He relocated back to the states for the series and it’s where he met Bella. He now resides in Los Angeles with her. Chigvintsev spent 10 years on the show and during that time, became a fan-favorite cast member. He’s even given private professional dance lessons for members of the public.

He told the outlet he was surprised that DWTS didn’t ask him to return for its 2019 season after being on it for a decade. Chigvintsev wasn’t notified until days before the new season’s lineup was announced.
Speaking on Nikki Bella’s podcast, The Bellas, he said, “I dedicated 10 years of my life to that company. And getting let go three days before an announcement, that’s like a punch in the stomach, really.” However, his fate with the popular show is not completely over, as he’s been welcomed back into the DWTS family.
Chigvintsev appears on Total Bellas alongside his fiancée, and fans have fallen in love with the pair and their romance. Though he is part of The Bellas’ reality franchise, Chigvintsev earned a pretty penny for his skills as a dancer. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his wealth has grown to $6 million. It is expected to grow if he and Bella extend their reach in reality TV individually or as a couple.
