Most breakups end bitterly. Yet when it came to Grande and Miller’s split, this was far from the truth. Instead, the two had nothing but beautiful things to say about each other following the end of their relationship.

The “God Is a Woman” singer took to Instagram to write the sweetest post about Miller right after their split. The caption expresses her unconditional love for Miller.
Grande writes,

“This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet, Malcolm McCormick. I respect and adore him endlessly. I am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times, regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”

The “Positions” singer goes on, adding, “Unconditional love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it’s not you. I can’t wait to know and support you forever, and I’m so proud of you!”

Miller and Grande were big fans of each other before meeting. Both shared a mutual adoration of each other’s music, which led to the two collaborating on a song in 2012. Miller and Grande covered “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and became inseparable ever since.

A year later, Grande’s debut album “Your Truly” featured a track with Miller, titled “The Way.” Despite the song’s music video displaying a kiss between Miller and Grande, the two insisted they weren’t dating but instead “best friends.” Grande even went on Hot 97 to announce that Miller is one of her “best friends in the whole world. Like the whole world.”

The “No Tears Left To Cry” singer opened up about their relationship, admitting that she has loved Miller since she was nineteen-years-old and will never stop loving him. The singer adds that she wishes she could’ve taken his pain away.

“I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen, and I always will,” Grande writes. “I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this—so many times. I’m so mad. I’m so sad, and I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re OK now. Rest.
