Offset Is Begging Cardi B to Take Him Back and Not Go Through With the Divorce
Cardi B and Offset have become the epitome of an on and off couple. One minute, they are loved up and cuddling one another and the next, Cardi is filing for divorce. Many fans thought that Cardi’s most recent filing would be the end of the couple, but now Offset is doing everything he can to win his wife back.
Cardi B and Offset’s quick relationship
Cardi and Offset met when they worked on her song “Lick” together. Their relationship quickly became serious and they got married secretly in Cardi’s bedroom in 2017. The next year was full of highs and lows for the couple. Cardi gave birth to their daughter Kulture, but she also broke up with Offset.
“It’s [nobody’s] fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore,” she said in a video.
“So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby’s father for a hot minute now,” she said. “We are really good friends and we are really good business partners — you know he’s always somebody that I run to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other — but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.
The two eventually worked things out and got back together.
Why did Cardi B file for divorce?
After taking Offset back, Cardi filed for divorce on Sep. 14.
“This time I wasn’t crying,” she said in an Instagram Live video captured by Hollywoodlife.
“It’s not because of cheating,” she continued. “I’m seeing people say it’s because he’s got a baby on the way — that’s a whole f*cking complete lie. This is the like second time people try to pin babies over here. No, that’s bullsh*t.”
Cardi revealed that she filed for divorce simply because she got tired of arguing and not seeing eye-to-eye with her husband.
Offset wants Cardi back
Offset is no stranger to winning Cardi back. He has done it multiple times in the past. This time, though, he’s stepping his game up. For Cardi’s birthday, he bought her a Billboard on Sunset Blvd and a Rolls Royce that cost a whopping $330K.
“Offset is on his best behavior right now,” a source close to Offset told HollywoodLife. “He’s doing everything he can to prove to Cardi that he’s worth it. He knows he’s not perfect, but he really does feel that he and Cardi belong together and he’s putting all his focus on her. He was miserable without her and he knows he’s beyond lucky to have a woman like her so he’s just doing all he can to convince her not to go through with the divorce.
“Right now he’s just very, very happy that he’s been able to spend time with her again, he really hated being apart from her,” the source continued. “She’s the only woman he loves. He loves everything about her. She’s so talented and so fun and she has such a big heart and on top of all that, she’s the best mother to Kulture. He can’t imagine his life without her as his wife.”
His efforts may not all be in vain as the pair was spotted kissing at her Oct. 10 birthday party.
