Can these three friends team up to raise three daughters? On Full House, that’s exactly what happens when Danny asks two of his best friends to move in and help raise DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle.

Here’s what we know about the ages of the adult characters on Full House — Danny Tanner, Joey Gladstone, and Jesse Katsopolis.

Danny Tanner and the ‘Junior Dads’ appear on the sitcom ‘Full House’

He may be the host of Wake Up San Francisco and an in-house cleaning team, but Danny Tanner can’t raise his daughters all alone. That’s why he asks for help from his best friend, comedian Joey Gladstone, and his brother-in-law musician-turned club owner, Jesse Katsopolis.

Together, these three become even closer friends and a family, helping the girls through all of their problems. However, one of these “junior dads” is much younger than the other two. That’s Pam’s younger brother and the girls’ rockin’ Uncle Jesse.

Uncle Jesse is the younger brother of Danny’s late-wife, Pam

He may not be blood-related to Joey, but Uncle Jesse decides to stay in this “Full House” much longer than he anticipated. That’s because when he first moved in he was still in his 20s, living life in the fast lane — riding motorcycles and performing rock and roll with his band.

Jesse’s love for the girls always shines through, though, and its this love that convinces him to say and watch DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle grow up. At the start of the series, fans suspect that Uncle Jesse was around 25 years old.

In Season 2, Jesse turned 26 in the episode titled “I’m There For You Babe,” even though John Stamos was 24 when Full House premiered. This character was the younger sibling of Danny Tanner’s late-wife, Pam, who was around Danny’s age before she passed.

Danny Tanner and Joey Gladstone went to school together

According to Danny Tanner’s Full House Fandom page, this character was 30 years old when Full House first premiered. There was even a season one episode confirming Danny’s age, as he turns 30 during, “The Big 3-0.”

Joey, Danny Tanner’s childhood friend, is about the same age as him. They met when they were 10 years old when another student named Sheldon was bullying Danny and Joey came in to stop it. The two have been best friends since then, burying a time capsule together, going to college together, and eventually living together.

The characters Danny, Joey, and Uncle Jesse return for episodes of the Netflix original, Fuller House, when the girls are all grown up. The spinoff series featuring DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy Gibbler, Fuller House, is available on Netflix. Most episodes of Full House are available for streaming on Hulu.
