‘OutDaughtered’ Adam and Danielle Busby Butt Heads In New Episode as Adam Calls Her ‘Uptight’ and a ‘Buzzkill’

TLC’s ‘OutDaughtered’ highlights the difficulties Adam and Danielle Busby are facing when it comes to potentially hiring help to raise their six kids. There have been a few tense moments between the two.

OutDaughtered is back for yet another season on TLC, and this time, the quints are growing up fast and are just about to start the third grade. Blayke is in middle school, and she has her own life (which includes preparing for volleyball tryouts), and Adam and Danielle Busby are hit with chaos when Danielle has to go out of town just in time for the kids to head back to class.

But before school starts, Blayke and Adam are having fun outside when Danielle says it’s time to come in — and Adam responds by calling Danielle a name to their daughter. While Adam and Danielle seem to have a rock-solid marriage, it was a little surprising to see the two butt heads.

Adam Busby calls Danielle a ‘buzzkill’ and ‘uptight’ in recent episode

This season has only had three episodes so far, and in all of them, it seems that Adam and Danielle are getting on each other’s nerves. Danielle keeps saying the two need more help around the house, but Adam doesn’t want it; it’s led to Danielle feeling exhausted and the vibes being lower than usual.

At the start of the episode, Adam and Blayke Busby are playing volleyball outside as the sun starts to set. Danielle comes out and says it’s almost Blayke’s bedtime, but Adam doesn’t side with Danielle and continues to play with his daughter.

“Blayke, it’s time to come in,” Danielle says from the house. Adam asks for “five more minutes,” and Danielle’s voice changes when she realizes he isn’t agreeing with her.

“She’s such a buzzkill,” Adam says to Blayke; the two continue to play outside. Then, in his confessional, Adam calls Danielle uptight.

“… That’s why she’s so, like, uptight about everything,” Adam says to the camera, referring to the idea that the kids are starting school as Danielle prepares to leave town and that she’s feeling overwhelmed. He does seem to understand, though, why that would be overwhelming for her.

Adam and Danielle seem to have been butting heads a bit more this season as they can’t agree on one major thing: Hiring some help around the house. But Adam learns the hard way while Danielle is out of town that it’s not so easy to care for the quints.

Adam and Danielle Busby are trying to balance six kids with running separate businesses

Adam has recently started doing professional photography, and Danielle owns a clothing boutique. The two are running two separate businesses while also trying to raise their young family, and this season, it seems to all be coming to a head.

In the season’s previous episode, Adam and Danielle got in a tiff when Danielle was frustrated that the girls’ rooms were a mess and Adam told her to calm down and relax. She wound up leaving the house to take a walk.

There is still plenty left to unfold as the season continues, but we can only hope that Adam Danielle find some common ground in terms of whether or not to hire help for their kids.
