Joseph Sikora is in the thick of filming his Power spinoff, Power Book IV: Force, an extension of Tommy Egan‘s destiny. Through six seasons of the original series, he gave audiences unforgettable one-liners and someone to root for — or against.

Ask any Power fan about their favorite seasons or scenes, and it is guaranteed they can name them without hesitation. The show’s cast members each have their own opinions, and Sikora recently shared his top choice.

Joseph Sikora ranks two seasons of ‘Power’ as his favorites

While it’s easy to assume that Joseph Sikora enjoyed going to war against Ghost in Power Season 6, — with plans to cancel Christmas on him — that’s not the case.

He recently appeared on Fat Joe’s “Big Show” Instagram Live series to catch up about his career, music, the graffiti lifestyle, and Power. When the rapper asked him about his favorite season on the show, he named seasons 3 and 5.

“My favorite was season 3 where Tommy kills Holly, where he kind of emerges as his own man. Then Tommy and Ghost kind of break up in season 5, and Tommy discovers himself. He’s kind of always been doing these things, and Ghost has just been keeping it from him in some ways,” said Sikora.

Fans may recall season 3 is when Ghost transitioned back into straight-laced James St. Patrick, the elegant club owner who left the street life behind. It didn’t stay that way, but Tommy learned to maneuver on his own without his partner. Kanan and Milan were integral parts of the season, and it’s also when Holly returned after breaking up with Tommy.

Though Tommy and Ghost were on the outs at the start of season 5, they linked up with Kanan for business purposes and to hit the Jimenez cartel. By the final episode, Tommy was angry at Ghost over Teresi (and other things), and he popped Angela.

Sikora acknowledged Ghost’s intelligence, but said Tommy was always thinking steps ahead and on top of everything. To him, he was more than capable of running the streets. “The self-realization part of season 5 I really liked,” he said.

Many fans favor seasons 1 and 2 of ‘Power’

As a tough-talking gangster, Tommy is as beloved to fans as his Mustang is to him. His likable villain persona rightfully earned him his own show. But looking back at the original, many viewers hold a special place in their hearts for seasons 1 and 2. Read through threads on Twitter and Reddit and there are people ranking Power’s best installments.

Not only did it kick off the franchise, but Ghost and Tommy established themselves as brothers who had each other’s backs, even if they didn’t always get along.

So much deception happened in those first two seasons. Angela and Ghost had an affair. Angela investigated Jamie/Ghost. Kanan got bold. And Tommy and Ghost owed Lobos, one of most interesting characters in the show.

Moving ahead, Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 and Power Book III: Raising Kanan are set to premiere in 2021, while Power Book IV’s debut is forthcoming.
