Few characters made it out of Power alive. Former U.S. Attorney Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) somehow got away, despite all odds. But after the events of Power Book II: Ghost Season 2, some fans think his days are numbered.

Saxe has switched sides on ‘Power Book II: Ghost’

In Power Book II: Ghost, the second chapter in the Power Universe, centering Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), Saxe gets recruited to work with Davis MacLean. MacLean (Method Man) is a top attorney with an impressive win-loss record. But his underhand tactics cause him and Saxe to clash.

In Power Book II: Ghost Season 2, Davis asks Saxe to investigate the case of Theo Rollins, his brother. Theo (Redman) is incarcerated for a murder that viewers come to learn was committed by someone much taller than him, possibly Davis. Saxe will continue to look into his case in Power Book II: Ghost Season 3, while simultaneously working behind Davis’ back with Jenny Sullivan (Paton Ashbrook).

Fans predict Cooper Saxe’s death in ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 3

On Twitter, show creator Courtney Kemp confirmed that Saxe would be one of the villains next season — and some fans think he’ll die as a result.

“I think we will see just how street Davis MacLean really is next season and he will probably put a hit out on Saxe and be the one to have Saxe finally get killed,” one fan wrote, responding to a Twitter post asking for predictions about Davis’ season 3 storyline.

“I think he is going to use Saxe for his brother’s release and then give him to the wolves. Especially after he finds out what he did,” read another comment.

Someone else agreed that either “Davis finds out Saxe is snitching to Jenny [or] Saxe finds out Davis committed the murder that his bro is serving time for-one will win & one will die Season 3.”

Cooper Saxe’s death does seem like a possibility given the direction of the show. But at the same time, he’s escaped so much doom over the years that it’s hard to fully believe.

The other villain of the next season is also in law enforcement

Aside from Saxe, Kemp noted that Blanca Rodriguez (Monique Curnen) is also a villain, as she’ll be investigating Tariq for Mecca’s murder.

“She is definitely going to try to get Tariq,” Kemp told Entertainment Weekly of the character. ” … The audience is going to have very strong opinions about what Blanca decides to do in season 3 and how she plans to attack Tariq.”

We’ll see what happens with Saxe and Blanca when the series returns. Check out the show now on Starz.
