‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 2 Finale Spoilers
Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 is coming to an explosive end and fans are hardly prepared. Tariq St. Patrick’s (Michael Rainey Jr.) trial for double murder is coming to an end, but it could still go either way. The Tejadas are in shambles. Amid the secret that Monet (Mary J. Blige) is Zeke’s (Daniel Bellomy) biological mother, Lorenzo Tejada (Berto Colon) is out for blood.
Moreover, Mecca (Daniel Sunjata) seems to have something sinister up his sleeve. Here are some things that fans can expect to see in the season finale.
When will the ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 2 finale premiere?
A lot happened in episode 209, “A Fair Fight?” Tariq let go of his sister Yasmine (Paris Morgan) after she was adopted by a nice family. He and Brayden’s (Gianni Paolo) relationship was fractured when he shared a personal photo of Brayden’s father with Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate). However, Tariq’s murder trial is looking like it may go in his favor.
Cane (Woody McClain) has seemingly chosen to stick beside his mother Monet while Diana (LaToya Tonodeo) and Dru (Lovell Adams-Gray) have chosen to stick beside Lorenzo. Most shocking, however, was when Effie (Alix Lapri) presumably killed Lauren (Paige Hurd) for being a snitch.
The Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 finale, will air on Feb. 6, 2022, just ahead of the debut of Power Book IV: Force.
Inside spoilers for the ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 2 finale
Episode 210, which serves as the season 2 finale is titled “Love And War.” The official description of the episode reads, “Tariq refuses to give up on his loved ones. Tariq must help Monet save her own family. Monet, finally seeing the whole board, must move quickly to protect her family from Mecca.”
We know there will be repercussions from what Effie did to Lauren. Also, in the trial, it looks like Dru and Lorenzo are going to move against Monet and Mecca. It also appears that Monet is suspicious of Mecca and that Effie and Tariq are getting closer.
Unfortunately, it also looks like Brayden will be forced to take the stand in Tariq’s trial and that Dru is going to take someone out.
During a recent Instagram Live, Power Universe creator Courtney Kemp gave further details about what to expect. “You will see a face from Power Book I, she explained. “There is a least one very happy thing that happens. Cane has to make a very very difficult decision in episode 10, and it’s one that can change the course of the game. There are a few deaths, but there is one that will really affect you guys.”
Are Effie and Mecca connected?
Fans expect there to be a ton of revelations and shocking moments in “Love And War.” In fact, there is also a theory swirling that Effie and Mecca are connected which fans expect to come to light in the season 2 finale. During a recent Instagram Live, Kemp was answering questions from curious fans. One fan asked her if Mecca was Effie’s old connect. “I know a lot of guys have been asking about a relationship between Mecca and Effie,” Kemp responded. “Again, I will just tell you guys that I don’t want to answer that question, but I do want you guys to stay tuned.”
The showrunner/writer/producer had previously stated that she would not be answering questions that gave away the plot. This makes us believe that Mecca and Effie are much more connected than we might think. Additionally, YouTuber MOVIE BOT has suggested that Effie is feeding Mecca information.
