Power Book III: Raising Kanan follows 15-year-old Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis), as he tries to find his footing in his mother Raquel “Raq” Thomas’ (Patina Miller) drug organization. Though Raq wants to keep her son out of the business that she runs with her brothers, Marvin (London Brown) and Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays), Kanan has other plans.

Set in the ’90s, Raising Kanan acts as the prequel series for the entire Power Universe, but when is the sixth episode of the series slated to air?

Why was ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ episode 6 delayed?

Fans were not pleased last week when Raising Kanan Episode 106 did not air at its scheduled time. “Raising Kanan wasn’t gon tell nobody they was skipping a week?,” one fan tweeted via Express. Another added, “I’m kinda in my feelings over not having a new episode of Raising Kanan this past weekend, I straight up went to the Starz app all excited with my Sunday snacks & got my face cracked when I saw there was no sixth episode.”

It turns out that Raising Kanan was on hiatus for the week amid the debut of the new Starz series HEELS. Instead of ushering in HEELS with a new episode of Raising Kanan at the front, Starz ran a marathon of the first five episodes of Raising Kanan for fans who hadn’t been able to catch the show until now.

Thankfully, there don’t appear to be any more delays in the foreseeable future.

When will ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ episode 6 air?

The sixth episode of Raising Kanan is set to air on Starz on Aug. 29 and it appears that Raq and rival dealer Unique (Joey Bada$$) are finally about to go to war. The episode will also showcase music producer Crown Camacho’s (Quincy Brown) highly anticipated showcase.

From what we can see from the trailer, something unexpected goes down at the showcase, while Lou Lou pays Unique and unexpected visit. From what we know about the two men, we doubt that this meet-up is about a truce. After this week, there will only be two episodes left in the season and we’ve only just begun to see Kanan’s transformation into the man that he becomes.

“I know where the character ends up,” Curtis told the Albuquerque Journal. “Kanan is at a point in his life as a teenager where the decisions he makes will put him on a certain path. It’s been interesting to visit his journey.”

When will ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Season 2 premiere?

Before the first episode even premiered, Power Book III: Raising Kanan had been renewed by Starz for a second season and the series is already underway. In a recent Instagram post, executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson shared a photo of Miller, Curtis, and Toby Sandeman who portrays Raq’s lover Symphony Bosket, He captioned the photo, “Raising Kanan back to work already season 2 😆@themekaicurtis said they on fire🔥 @michaelraineyjr over there tripping.”

We just hope that Breeze finally makes his appearance in season 2.
