Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) hasn’t wasted any time moving on in Power Book IV: Force. The series finds the hot-headed gangster in the immediate days after the events at the end of Power. Traumatized by all the loss and destruction, Tommy puts New York behind him for good and leaves for Chicago, with the goal of rebuilding his business from the ground up.

He’s already met a new woman, Gloria (Gabrielle Ryan), and sparks are beginning to fly. What does La La Anthony think of Tommy moving on when LaKeisha Grant’s death is so fresh? Her reaction was hilarious.

‘Power Book IV: Force’ is a new chapter for Tommy Egan

Tommy was supposed to be in California, but he made a stop in Chicago to settle some family business. “What was supposed to be a quick stop turns into a labyrinth of family secrets and lies Tommy thought were long buried,” a quote from the synopsis reads via Deadline. “One step leads to another and Tommy quickly finds himself in Chicago’s drug game, inserting himself between the city’s two biggest crews.”

“In a city divided by race, Tommy straddles the line, ultimately becoming the lynchpin that not only unites them – but holds the power to watch them crumble,” the statement continues. “Tommy uses his outsider status to his advantage, breaking all the local rules and rewriting them on his quest to become the biggest drug dealer in Chicago.”

Soon after arriving in the Windy City, Tommy meets Gloria and quickly falls into bed with her. Even though it’s casual, it feels like their relationship could eventually become more serious.

La La Anthony’s reaction to Tommy’s new love interest

After the premiere, Anthony, who played LaKeisha, joined show creator Courtney Kemp for a conversation on Instagram Live. She gave her reaction to Tommy moving on with Gloria around the 17:30 mark.

“I was like, damn, y’all couldn’t even wait for one episode before [he got with another woman]?! Y’all couldn’t even give me one episode of him, like, grieving?” she said, laughing. “By the way, the actress on that show is incredible. She is amazing, I’m joking guys. But I’m just saying.”

Kemp chimed in to note that Tommy hasn’t fully moved on but instead is seeking comfort. “I did not want him falling in love. I was like, there is no love. He loves LaKeisha. He loves Cash, he loves what he lost. That’s why we see in the trailer that he’s still in that place in his heart … But you know these fellas are,” she mused.

“Exactly, I was like, damn I just got out of there,” Anthony replied. “But by the way, ‘Force’ was amazing. Shoutout to everyone watching it. And Joseph [Sikora] just kills that like always, and I’m so excited to see the rest of that season.”

Although Tommy is new to Chicago, he’s already getting into trouble. After a run-in with associates of mobster Walter Flynn, he was warned to leave the city immediately. But, of course, Tommy ignored those orders. Determined to take over, he began to assemble a crew, recruiting Liliana from Power in the trailer for Power Book IV: Force Episode 3.
