Omari Hardwick is known for his role as the intimidating but debonair drug kingpin, James “Ghost” St. Patrick, on the long-running Starz drama series Power. For six seasons, fans watched Ghost plot to become completely legitimate, starting various business ventures, including his nightclub, Truth. However, his business as one of the biggest drug dealers in New York City, as well as his personal life choices, continued to draw him back to the dark side.

By season six of the series, Ghost has destroyed everything around him, including his family and his lifelong friendship with his best friend and business partner, Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora). For the first time in his life, Ghost’s criminal activity was on the government’s radar.

In the end, Ghost paid the ultimate price with his life when his son, Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), killed him. But what is Hardwick doing now, and what is his net worth?

Will Omari Hardwick return to the ‘Power’ Universe?

Though Power has ended, the series has spawned four additional spinoffs. Power Book II: Ghost follows Tariq as a college student and drug dealer, following in his father’s footsteps. Set in the ’90s Power Book III: Raising Kanan follows the teen years of Ghost and Tommy’s former business partner Kanan in Queen’s New York. Power Book IV: Force centers Tommy’s life following Ghost’s death, and Power Book V: Influence chronicles Councilman Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) and his race to the New York governor’s mansion.

Despite watching Ghost die in the original series, fans are convinced Hardwick will return to the Power Universe at some point and reprise his role. However, considering the 47-year-old’s current projects, that seems highly unlikely. He starred as Vanderohe in the Netflix blockbuster Army of the Dead.

He has also be cast in the upcoming Netflix sci-fi movie, The Mothership, alongside Halle Berry, John Ortiz, and Molly Parker. The movie will center on Berry’s character Sara Morse, whose husband mysteriously disappears. Sometime later, Sara discovers an extraterrestrial object underneath her house. She begins to uncover the truth about his disappearance.

How much did Omari Hardwick make per episode on ‘Power’?

Hardwick first began making waves in the 2011 Ava DuVernay film, I Will Follow. He also starred opposite Janet Jackson in Tyler Perry’s 2010 movie, For Colored Girls. However, his 2013 role in Being Mary Jane and then the next year when he snagged his role on Power placed him on the A-list.

Hardwick was top-billed on Power for the duration of its six-season run from 2014 to 2020. Though Hardwick’s salary for Power is not available online, it undoubtedly increased over the series run. After all, the Starz drama series was so popular that it was the second-highest-rated cable series following Game of Thrones.

Variety reports that cable networks pay their leads anywhere between  $150,000 to $1,000,000 per episode for a show.
