Omari Hardwick made a name for himself as James “Ghost” St. Patrick on the hit Starz drama, Power. Though Hardwick was beginning to gain traction in the early 2010s with roles in films like I Will Follow, For Colored Girls, and later on the BET series, Being Mary Jane opposite Gabrielle Union, Power catapulted his career into a different stratosphere.

The Georgia-born actor starred as the smooth yet volatile drug kingpin on all six seasons of the acclaimed series. He appeared on the show more than any other character on Power. However, by the final season, James met his end at the hand of his teenage son, Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.). Though James and, therefore, Hardwick’s time came to an end on the show, Power has continued with four spinoffs that follow various important characters in the Power Universe.

Since Power was one of the biggest shows on cable, following Game of Thrones, what was Hardwick’s salary during his time on the show?

Will Omari Hardwick return to the ‘Power’ Universe?

Power has become a franchise in and of itself, creator Courtney A. Kemp and executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has spawned several spinoffs from the series. Power Book II: Ghost has already premiered. It chronicles Tariq’s life following James’ death. He’s a college student turned drug dealer. Power Book III: Raising Kanan will debut in July 2021. Set in the ’90s it follows the teen years of Ghost and Tommy’s former business partner Kanan (Mekai Curtis). Power Book IV: Force centers James’ best friend Tommy’s (Joseph Sikora) life following Ghost’s death after he leaves New York City for Chicago. Finally, Power Book V: Influence chronicles Councilman Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) and his race to the New York governor’s mansion.

With so many Power series, fans are convinced that Hardwick could return as James in a flashback sequence. Some are even convinced that that the character never actually died. However, the 47-year-old is so busy with other projects that we doubt that’s possible. Hardwick is currently starring in Zack Synder’s Netflix epic, Army of the Dead.

He’s also been tapped to star opposite Halle Berry in a new Netflix movie, The Mothership, and those are just a couple of forthcoming projects on his extensive IMDb.

What is Omari Hardwick’s net worth?

Hardwick’s personal net worth has expanded exponentially in the past seven years since he first began appearing on Power and garnering lead roles. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the actor is worth $5 million. Considering his work on Netflix and his status as a leading man beginning as James “Ghost” St. Patrick, we’re certain that Hardwick’s net worth will only expand in the coming years.
