Royal or not, weddings are a lot of work. There are details to coordinate and with a royal wedding, any to-do list is going to be even longer. While Meghan and Harry weren’t necessarily spending their evenings creating centerpieces for the tables at their wedding reception, their pre-wedding schedule looked a little different from non-royal nuptials.

Although they did have a wedding rehearsal. Two days ahead of Meghan and Harry’s wedding, cameras snapped photos of the couple as they arrived by car on their way to the royal residence’s St. George’s Chapel. Being broadcast in front of millions of people all around the world, Meghan and Harry had to know exactly how the ceremony would go.

They looked to be in good spirits as they entered Windsor Castle.

One day before the royal wedding meant that Meghan and her mother, Doria Ragland, head to a nearby hotel to get ready for the ceremony the following day. The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Cliveden House Hotel on May 18, 2018, with her mom. Both women were all smiles.

Meanwhile, at Windsor Castle Harry greeted well-wishers with his older brother and best man,  Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Not exactly the average

They attended 2 events following their royal wedding

After their royal wedding, Meghan and Harry didn’t jet off for a romantic honeymoon but instead, they stuck around for some royal engagements. As the Duchess of Sussex’s first event as a full-fledged member of the royal family, she attended a birthday celebration for her father-in-law, Prince Charles, on May 22, 2018, at Buckingham Palace.

A few weeks after their royal wedding on June 9, 2018, Meghan and Harry showed up for one of the biggest events on the royal calendar, Trooping the Colour. A parade in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stood among the rest of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and rode in a carriage while waving to crowds.
