This means the Megxit deal they made with Queen Elizabeth won’t be up for review for a few more weeks. However, according to a new report, Harry and Meghan want an extension. And they also have a few demands.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been busy in California

Despite the pandemic, Harry and Meghan have kept busy this past year and started their new life in California. After purchasing their $14 million mansion in the exclusive Montecito neighborhood, they signed two huge business deals.

In September, Harry and Meghan signed an estimated $150 million deal with Netflix to produce documentaries and scripted content. In December, they inked another huge deal with Spotify worth $30 million to produce podcasts.

Now that they are residents in Southern California, Harry and Meghan are spotted on occasion during various outings. According to Page Six, they were out in Beverly Hills just before Christmas. The couple kept things casual and wore hats and face masks.

They also shopped for a Christmas tree and decorations at a pop-stand in Santa Barbara. They arranged to have the Big Wave Dave’s Christmas Trees & Pumpkin Patch all to themselves in a tent outside of Macy’s. However, one five-year-old boy and his parents were still there when Harry and Meghan arrived. And the little boy thought Harry was a Christmas tree salesman.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have started their own holiday traditions

Christmas 2020 marked Harry and Meghan’s second holiday season away from the royal family. Last year, they celebrated Christmas in Canada with their son, Archie Harrison.

“It’s Harry’s second Christmas away from England, and Meghan wants to make sure it’s special for everyone,” an insider told People magazine. “They are creating their own traditions at their new home.”

Shopping for their own Christmas tree is one of Harry and Meghan’s new traditions, along with putting up decorations and spending time with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.

“They both love Christmas and have been decorating with Archie,” the source dished.

The couple also shared their “painted” Christmas card, which featured Archie and their dogs, Pula and Guy. The family posed in front of a playhouse in their backyard, and the decor included a mini Christmas tree and poinsettia.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want an extension to their Megxit deal

Things appear to be going well for Harry and Meghan in California. But according to Page Six, the couple wants an extension on their Megxit deal. When the Sussexes announced that they wanted to step down as senior royals, they negotiated a deal with the royal family. After one year, they agreed to revisit the deal.

So far, Buckingham Palace has allowed the couple to hold on to their royal patronages, but that is set to expire on March 31. Apparently, Harry and Meghan want to hold on to those charity support duties. The Duke of Sussex is also interested in regaining the honorary military posts he was so “devastated” to give up.
