In 2020, Prince Harry stepped down as a senior royal and moved to California with his wife, Meghan Markle. He recently attended the Super Bowl when it took place at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The photos of the Duke of Sussex at the Super Bowl made headlines. According to a body language expert, Harry was “desperate” to be photographed at the event.

Prince Harry appeared at the Super Bowl with Princess Eugenie

On Feb. 13, Harry was one of the over 70,000 people in attendance at the Super Bowl. There were many celebrities there, including Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Ellen DeGeneres.

Harry was seen sitting next to his cousin, Princess Eugenie. Many royal watchers believe Harry and Meghan are estranged from the royal family, but they seem to still be on good terms with Eugenie, especially since they continue to speak fondly of Eugenie in interviews. Meghan was not at the Super Bowl, however, and neither was Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank.

After the game, Harry also visited the locker room of the L.A. Rams. The team’s Twitter page shared some photos of the duke holding the Super Bowl trophy they had just won.

Body language expert says Prince Harry was ‘desperate’ to be photographed at the Super Bowl

Body language expert Jesús Enrique Rosas (also called The Body Language Guy on social media) recently analyzed Harry’s surprise appearance at the Super Bowl.

In a video on YouTube, Rosas pointed out that this appearance came just weeks after the royal family announced that Kate Middleton had taken over Harry’s rugby patronage. According to Rosas, Harry had always been known for his athleticism, and this loss of patronage could be changing his image.

“Sports are usually associated with a competition, but in a deeper level, they are a symbol of youth and fun,” Rosas said. He added, “It’s like Harry used to be the ambassador of that youth and fun, but he’s no more. And let’s face it. He no longer looks either young or fun.”

The guru continued, “That must be one of the reasons he was desperate to be photographed at the Super Bowl. Because he had lost that edge, that image association with sports, especially with Catherine so prominently featured in so many outlets lately … So he must be trying to be identified, in some way, with those days when he was the most sporty royal of all.”

Body language expert Judi James also looked at photographs of Harry at the Super Bowl.

“Harry’s leg splay and his almost overkill display of relaxation suggests he’s enjoying showing off his new life to his baseball-capped cousin,” James told Express. “Her eye-smile and her rather tentative hand-touch to her own leg suggest she’s suitably excited and impressed by the occasion.”

She added, “And Harry’s wide-rounded eyes and the slight rounding of the upper cheek that is visible above the mask suggest he’s more delighted than his laid-back body position might suggest.”
