After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2020, there have been lots of rumors about a rift between the pair and some other royals. These rumors intensified in 2021 when Harry and Meghan gave interviews and talked negatively about Prince Charles and Prince William.

Recently, Harry was asked about his father and brother in an interview with Hoda Kotb. According to a body language expert, the Duke of Sussex appeared to have “animosity” when Charles and William were brought up.

What Prince Harry revealed in a recent interview with Hoda Kotb

During the Invictus Games, Harry spoke to journalist Hoda Kotb to share some updates about his life.

For example, Harry opened up about fatherhood—a role he first took on in 2019 when his son Archie was born. The royal revealed he loves “ every part of it” and that he had “always wanted to be a dad.” He also talked about his desire to “make the world a better place” for his two children.

Additionally, Harry shared that, after living in California for two years, he feels like the United States is his “home.”

Before the Invictus Games, Harry and Meghan spent some time with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle. He spoke to Kotb about the meeting, sharing that he wants to make sure she is “protected” and has “the right people around her.” Harry also revealed that he and his grandmother are still close and that they “talk about things that she can’t talk about with anybody else.”

Kotb also asked Harry whether he misses Charles and William. However, the duke seemed to dodge the question and turned his attention to the competitors at the Invictus Games.

“For me, at the moment, I’m here focused on these guys and these families and giving everything I can, 120% to them to make sure that they have the experience of a lifetime,” Harry said.

Body language expert Lillian Glass analyzed this part of the interview. According to Glass, throughout the conversation, Harry displayed signals of being “defensive” as well as “sad and angry.”

“To reveal his clear animosity towards his brother and dad when asked if he missed them he doesn’t even answer the question and at least say yes,” Glass said (via Express). “He says look I am here. It is a hostile response as he reveals his anger towards them.”

Glass added, “Then he goes on to further ignore the question and brings up the families of the Invictus participants and makes himself into some type of hero in his own mind that he wants to help their families and give them a lifetime experience.”
