Prince Harry released his bombshell memoir Spare in early 2023. In it, the Duke of Sussex spoke his truth and shared how he felt about being the “spare” to his older brother, Prince William, his entire life.

Now someone who knows Harry is claiming that he’s still a “spare” today, not to the heir but to his wife, Meghan Markle. Here’s what the woman who wrote the prince’s biography had to say about that and what she saw recently during the Sussexes’ unofficial tour to Nigeria that proved it.

What the author claims Meghan did that proves Prince Harry is a ‘spare’ in his marriage

Royal expert Angela Levin spent time with the Duke of Sussex when she wrote the book Harry: A Biography of a Prince in 2018. She said that looking at Harry these days it appears that he’s still a “spare.”

Speaking to GB News, Levin opined: “I think when he wrote his book about the ‘spare’ ‘he didn’t think that maybe he would be a spare now. Meghan pushes him, pulls him if she wants to go on, if she’s bored somewhere, as we saw in footage from Africa.”

Levin added that Meghan “pulls him away and gives him a look and he leaves immediately … [because] he loves her to pieces. He wants to please her.”

The author also discussed the Invictus Games that the Sussexes promoted while in the African country and how Harry is now taking a backseat to Meghan in promoting the Games he founded.

“That was Harry’s, that was his star,” Levin explained. “That’s what he’d done very well. And Meghan’s taking it over. She gives the speeches, and she stands in front of former and army people who are walking, and she walks on and she gives them the marching orders.”

Biographer previously claimed the Invictus Games executive team wanted the duke out

Levin previously claimed that the Invictus Games executive team was looking to oust Prince Harry because of how much Meghan had become involved and because the focus was being taken off the athletes.

She noted that “[The duchess] actually led a march with some of the ex-military people who were either physically, emotionally, or psychologically damaged during their fighting.”

According to Levin, “Some people say they want Harry because he’s the beginning of the whole Invictus Games, and other people say that it would be delightful that they don’t do all this nonsense and they don’t want Meghan making speeches. They don’t want her leading marches. She did lead people who were in winning last year, and she walked as if she was at a dress show and they were walking behind her looking very angry because she doesn’t really know very much about the army and the military.”

The report about wanting Harry out was never officially confirmed by anyone associated with the Invictus Games.
